Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on April 3, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BLACK RANSOM was good at his return to racing for a new stable and then backed it up with a solid minor placing to Sky Five and Diamond Trade. First crack at a staying trip last time out and was well in the market. Can go close here. REDMILL is knocking on the door and again finds a race where he leads without challenge. THE ROAN RANGER has missed the kick badly twice in a row. That’s the end of our trust for him. HOT TICKETY BOO not going well. But did show some ability with Josh Kryspin. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – BLACK RANSOM WIN RACE 2 FAIR ONE is fresh here 90 days between runs and looks capable of getting across from an outside gate to take up a prominent position in the run. Ran three consecutive cheeky races at a price when last in work and this is a weak maiden. FIERY WATER is sure to be hard to beat on debut. Trialled well enough but the draw makes it tough. MISS NOBELLE ran some nice races when last in work. KIRIGAMI was not disgraced on debut and again draws soft. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 10 – 11 Suggested Bet – FAIR ONE EACHWAY RACE 3 MIMS WIN has been a model of consistency all preparation and from gate 1 gets his chance to finally break thorugh. Last two minor placings both strong and this doesn’t look a deep maiden. MY BLUEBOY has raced without much luck his entire career. Worked extremely hard last start from a wide gate. SPOOKWOOD has the ability but does a lot wrong in races. IGARASHI trialled up well for her return to racing. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – MIMS WIN WIN RACE 4 BLACKWATER BAY went around extremely short on debut when well commissioned in betting off the back of an impressive Lark Hill trial. Finished a well beaten fourth on that occasion but the horses in front (Apache Pass, That’s Funny Az, Rocky Path) have gone on to make nice race horses. ABOARD has had nothing go right in a short career but looks to have a little something. ABERDEEN QUEEN could be backing up off 6 days from her debut and if she does she’ll enjoy the ground. INTERSTATE another who maps well off the back-up. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – BLACKWATER BAY WIN RACE 5 MONTIBLU has only had two runs back from a long absence from the race track. First-up effort was serviceable beaten 4L behind Sitdown Be Humble and My Blueboy and last start even though beaten almost 10L was wide the trip in a fast run race with the likes of Karijini Aurora and Miss Margaux. Keep safe at a big price from the gun draw. I HOPE YOU DANCE has had a number of chances but this looks a nice race for her. KENDELS IMPACT might not be an apprentices horse but caught the eye two starts ago. SON OF THE SUN has had his chances. Will win one but always happy to tiptoe around. Numbers: 13 – 9 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – MONTIBLU EACHWAY RACE 6 PETTICOAT JUNCTION is a filly who was thrown in the deep end last campaign into the 3 year old features and then staying trips against the older horses. Impressed with her return to racing first-up and she looks like she’ll go through the winter staying grades. FUEL THE FRIAR was very impressive winning last time out. No reason she can’t win again if she reproduces the run. CHIEF COCHISE should be able to find a nice spot in running with a positive ride. PATYS FORCAST off the 4 day back-up a winning hope in a wide open race. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – PETTICOAT JUNCTION WIN RACE 7 KING BLITZ has his fair share of issues but boy does he have some serious ability. Came from an ugly race two starts ago where there were a lot of hard luck stories but he was still super impressive winning running away from them. Thrown into a 72+ last start behind Red Can Man, Pyms Royale, Sophie’s Song, Regal Counsel, Fred Dag and Patristic. Any of those gallopers would jump $1.50 in this. KELLY’S CALLISTO is racing very well and will take running down if Beaux Edwards can get across (no guarantee). METALLIC BELLE was super two starts ago. Keep safe. NICE GO capable of sprinting well fresh. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – KING BLITZ WIN RACE 8 HAIL DA HINCHI returns to the races as a gelding for his second preparation of racing. Won well on debut when backed from $4.8 into $3.2 and controlling the race from the front. Recent trial behind Angelic Ruler was good and Pike jumps aboard for the first-up assignment. POWER OF ST GEORGE is another nice 3 year old resuming in this event. He is likely to stride forward from the gate and looks a nice animal. FIRESALE was well supported last start, keep him in novelty inclusion. CASINO WAR doesn’t run bad races. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – HAIL DA HINCHI WIN Race 9 SPIRITUAL WARRIOR, HE’S A PARKER and SUPERIOR SMILE all went to the line locked together last start with not a lot between them. That race was run at a pedestrian tempo and so the effort of HE’S A PARKER was probably better than it looks to the naked eye. He looks finally ready to break a long run of outs. SPIRITUAL WARRIOR is just an out and out stayer. Would love to own a horse like him who just gives 110% ever time. SUPERIOR SMILE was able to walk them last start (22L slower than average to the 800). MACKENZIE BROOKE went round favourite in that race and wasn’t too bad. Pike jumps off and she’ll be far better odds. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 12 – 8 Suggested Bet – HE’S A PARKER WIN Race 10 NICKLAUS only has Kalgoorlie and Esperance wins to his name but has always shown sufficient ability to win in the metro area. Returns to the stables of SJ Miller (who is in hot form) and from the gate Brad Parnham should give him every chance in running. OIHANA has put two wins together and the last start even on a rails bias day was in solid time. SENTIMENTAL FRIEND ran a ripper at his return to the track. ARNO THE FOX has put in two good runs back to back. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – NICKLAUS WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 2 2,4,7 1,3,8,12 1,2,3,4,7,11,12,14 Market Market
