Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 21, 2025March 21, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 IDODOMYA and POINT OF LUCK both come through the same race behind subsequent C2 Albany winner Modelistic. There was less than a length between them on the line and given the filly was 1400 to 2000m at only her second outing and the fact she ran an ever so slightly faster L600 going to put her on top. POINT OF LUCK continues to knock on the door and wins one of these staying maidens very soon. ALNAUD can lead and give cheek. AGE OF GRACE was on debut at 2000m and stuck on well. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – IDODOMYA WIN RACE 2 KERMELIA finished off strongly first-up behind Fayola Baby and subsequentw inner Aces To Win over 1400m. She’s missed a run with the abandoned meeting at Belmont last Thursday so comes into this 28 days between runs, however, the two fancies both look like being three deep cover so they likely make their runs together. SMART ENERGY is again drawn poorly. Didn’t stop punters backing him first-up and doubt it stops them second-up. He trialled well and ran well. MR UNIVERSE a query at 1500. HIGHLAND JEUNEY next best. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – KERMELIA WIN RACE 3 GINGER AND TONIC is a 3 year old filly who has had plenty of racing (start number 13) but going off her most recent run in defeat at the hands of Aces To Win (who heads straight ot the JC Roberts) she should be going close to breaking through here. This race is clearly weaker than last start. GIGI GOGO a point of difference runner who may sneak under the radar. Both runs last prep had merit. TIME CONNECTION races past 1200m for the first time. Could be vulnerable? DUCIMAN loomed and then peaked on debut. Numbers: 12 – 11 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – GINGER AND TONIC WIN RACE 4 DRILLING RIG was super on debut behind Perfect Beth as a 2 year old but now 319 days later steps out as a 3 year old. Barrier hurts in a capacity line-up but loved the trial and going to cross fingers that Brad Parnham can find a back to follow three (even four) deep with cover and wind up into the race. SWEET EYES was in that trial and while she may want further can sprint well fresh. SHAMILLIAN MISS trialled well behind a really nice horse in Seven Castles recently. CASSENITE ran well on debut and returns without a trial. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 13 – 10 Suggested Bet – DRILLING RIG WIN RACE 5 CHASON WINS is a complete throw at the stumps. She has always trialled really well but then shown nothing on race day. Beat Funchal by 1.5L leading into last prep and then didn’t beat one home down the straight. Tongue Tie on – hoping that’s the fix. NICCIMOTA is rapid. She’ll find the outside fence no worries, it’s just whether she can run out 1000m that’s the issue at the minute. COZZIES CHOICE comes through the Drilling Rig / Sweet Eyes trial which is on show in Race 3. POWER OF RULE trialled well on the Bunbury Sand Fibre. Numbers: 15 – 13 – 14 – 9 Suggested Bet – CHASON WINS EACHWAY RACE 6 SANCTIONS has found a really winnable race. She’s been down the straight twice before and only recorded one minor placing, however, she’s been battling away in C1 races with a claiming apprentice and now has W.Pike. David Harrison has a great record down the straight and the jockey booking is the cherry on top. IF I DIN HAVADIME is brilliantly placed by Lou Luciani. Placed in a C3 (54+) down the straight only three starts ago. SOMETHING ROYAL is quick and will look to come out running with Esperance maiden winner TRA LA LA. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – SANCTIONS WIN RACE 7 DON’T TRUST JUDAS has had three runs new trainer Stef Vahala and they’ve all been good. Does his best work at Pinjarra and is starting to build back some of the lost trust. He’s a momentum horse, so three deep cover is the best spot for him. Deep breath in – prepared to be let down. We’re on. JUST GIFTED over-raced and sat wide throughout first-up. She can improve quickly. SHOOT TO FAME was crunched in betting last start and went okay. LATTE WITH PRO could be the better of the two Donna Riordan pair? Joey first choice. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – DON’T TRUST JUDAS WIN RACE 8 GIGI POPS is dropping out of an Ascot 1000 Guineas, prior to that finished within a head of Shmoov Moova and Secret Attraction and first-up finished a head off Premium Girl. It’s wonderful form for a C3 but the jury is still out on whether she’ll run out a mile, especially with 59kg. BLAZING EMERALD is accepted on Saturday from barrier 1 and Sunday from barrier 11. Interesting to see which way they go. BEAU TALK is stepping up sharply in distance but going well. LIEUTENANT DUNBAR is always thereabouts. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – GIGI POPS WIN RACE 9 DEMOLISH was $31 into $9 in the Bunbury Cup and thought we were onto something. Wasn’t the ideal run sitting in the breeze on a day you wanted cover/to come out wide but he fought on well. Drawn soft, ran third in a Perth Cup over 2400m so you know he stays. I’m going again. CAPTAIN PLUTO and ANTIQUE MISS fought out the Bunbury Cup until the last 100m when Captain Pluto got the better of her. They’re both live chances in the Pinjarra Cup and are both drawn gates that suit their racing patterns. SENSESSIONAL caught the eye late at his first staying test. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – DEMOLISH EACHWAY RACE 10 DUG ANOTHER HOLE has come of age this campaign. Won a maiden, won a C1 and then was only run down late on a day that didn’t suit those anywhere near the speed/fence. We’ll know the pattern by this stage and if it’s suiting those on speed he’ll be hard to gun down. LOVA SESSION is a perennial place getter (10 runner-up performances) and has 59.5kg and a wide draw to overcome first-up. TOO MUCH TALK has put in two great runs for a horse who was off the scene for over 2 years. MY JIMMY is just grinding at the moment. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – DUG ANOTHER HOLE WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 1,3,9,10 1,2 1,2,3,5,6,7 1,2,3,4,5 Market Market
