Scott Embry’s Sunday Northam Preview Posted on September 25, 2020September 26, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 PERFECT HARMONY has the blinkers added and a senior rider going on. Should cross from the outside gate and leading at Northam is a much more favourable scenario than leading midweek with the rail out at Belmont Park. Looks like she’ll find the top and give a kick. Getting close to breaking through. HOLY ENACTMENT looks like he’ll eat up the ground and he ran past Perfect Harmony first-up and gets weight on him. Clearly going to be right in the finish again. TWENTY EIGHT ROCK has hit some form. VELVET ROOM ran well when well supported at a big price first-up. Numbers: 6 – 9 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – PERFECT HARMONY WIN RACE 2 HOME IN FIVE has only been to the races once and that was when fifth on debut behind London Miss and Stella Door in a very fast run 1000 at Bunbury. Has had a few trials since including a recent victory at Belmont Park when looking to be in first gear. When Michael Lane takes them to the provincials you have to stand up and pay attention and this one trialled like he would be winning. DARK ASSAULT improved last start but at the moment is simply high speed and no stamina. SOUTHSTAR went back to the cutaway which was serious quicksand last start. Ran well pattern considered. HEELS A PLENTY went back on debut and caught the eye late. She can go forward in this. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – HOME IN FIVE WIN RACE 3 CELEBRITY WITNESS jumps off the page and looks very hard to beat on paper. Eye catching on debut at 1000m behind Secret Plan, Divine Pair and subsequent winner Apple Schnapps and then was stiff to run into a talented one like Triple Missile last start. Draws perfectly, 1300m looks right up her alley and this is a lesser class of opposition than her last two. Keen. UNDER THE RADAR races on speed and coming back in trip looks astute after just paddling late at a mile last start. BABURIZZA is the stablemate of Celebrity Witness and with Madi Derrick on can box seat and enjoys weight relief. RANGA ROLL has been going well but the draw makes it tough. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – CELEBRITY WITNESS WIN RACE 4 OUR DAMOUR is first-up off the back of some very moderate (poor) trial efforts. This is an even race and based off the SP profile last preparation and the recent trial margins could well open 50-1 but there were glimpses when last in work including a third behind Red Hot Tip and Great Waters as well as a luckless run behind Beret and Native Chimes. Throw at the stumps. ZINGANO ran well firs-up in a metro maiden which should hold up as a form reference. If she finds the top she’ll be hard to beat. YELVERTON is going well but doesn’t seem to know how to accelerate. Travels well but not letting down yet. FAIROUGE is E1 but if gaining a start is a definite winning chance. Numbers: 6 – 8 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – OUR DAMOUR EACHWAY RACE 5 DYNAMIC FORCE is first-up at 1400m and from the gate can roll forward in a race without a deal of tempo. Logic says that Zaalah with the shades will find the top from gate 10 and if that is the case then Chris Parnham should land a prominent position just behind. Looks capable of running a race fresh. ZAALAH is fresh, back in trip, blinkers on and Chloe Azzopardi on. If she finds the top can prove hard to run down. COSMIC REFLECTION is getting mighty close but the gate makes it a little bit harder for her. VICTORIOUSCHINO ran out of her skin first-up at Northam last preparation. Keep safe. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – DYNAMIC FORCE WIN RACE 6 NOBLE REFLECTION looks brilliantly placed to score. Ran third behind Puli last start in a high rating C3 at Belmont on a Soft6. Puli goes to a 72+ in town to take on Cliffs of Comfort and Long Beach and Noble Reflection drops back into a C1, gets back on top of the ground and after Madi Derrick’s claim carries the exact same weight as last start. Astute placement and should be rewarded. NOT MY FIGHT ran well at her return to Lindsey Smith’s yard and Chris Parnham sticks with her. MINI WINNIE hasn’t had a lot of luck since returning this preparation. MODEN TIMES ran very well first start for Roy Rogers. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – NOBLE REFLECTION WIN RACE 7 BRAVE CONTENDER was the beneficiary of a Chris Parnham special last start. He sticks, drawn to get an identical run and this C3 isn’t a lot stronger than what he met at his most recent in C1 company or earlier in the preparation when going round in C3s. Adam Durrant unstoppable and he should again prove hard to beat. RACY AVA is quickly building into the preparation and knocking on the door. Senior rider on a clear positive for her. UPWARD OTHERS hasn’t been seen in this grade for a long time. On his day he can reel off some sharp sections. COMBAT READY should be able to find the breeze and that puts him into contention. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – BRAVE CONTENDER WIN RACE 8 KELLY’S GEM looks to have found her race. Resumed at 1400m first-up off the back of a pair of encouraging trials and hit the line powerfully late after being slightly inconvenienced turning for home. From the draw Pateman can get a smother midfield and there is a cutaway in play as well. Trusting him to make the right decision cutaway vs weaving through and she should be very hard to hold out late. GILLESPIE is racing well and steps out in trip which looks to be in his favour. ME ‘N’ TAZ should cross to the top and that’s a big plus for him. KORANIS can run a cheeky race first-up. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – KELLY’S GEM WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,4,5,6,8 2 1,2,4,5 3 Market Market
