Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on September 20, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 KING FOR LIFE was leading them up and running strong races from the front before settling off speed last start at 1400. Up to the mile Parnham should find the front and takes running down. SURE CONVICTION has been catching the eye and Chris Parnham is a positive engagement. NORD AVENIR will have followers with Pike jumping aboard. ANGELIC MOON has been disappointing since a strong debut. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – KING FOR LIFE WIN Race 2 DIRTY DOT ran a ripper on debut and then got crossed and never really travelled last start. Should come across from the awkward draw and can bounce back. CONCRETE MADAM ran a better race than her last start and Pike picks up the ride. Obviously hard to beat if reproducing that effort. RED DIRT BOY joins Gary Bowens yard and was solid when leading and fading. EMERALD ROSE continues to savage the line but draws to do it tough. Numbers: 11 – 4 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – DIRTY DOT EACHWAY Race 3 NEMIROFF is an all or nothing type. Best ridden to absolutely burn the turf in front. Expecting Pateman to let him roll and he can be hard to run down on his day. PALMA MERENTI was rocketing through the gap late last start. If he can repeat it’s game on. TEMPLE MAN has a powerful finish for a tiny little unit and should get the right run. PASTRY ran good races in town late in the preparation. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – NEMIROFF WIN Race 4 GLIMMER GIRL ran back to back placings in 64+ grade earlier in the preparation and last start ran sixth of six but in a 70+ behind Happy Harry, Paradise Square, Rhino Buster and Barry’s Rabbit. She can definitely bounce back the winner’s circle here. CAN HE RULE HER is in form and should enjoy the right run. DOUBLE THE PRO has been costly to punters his entire career. Many will jump in again but the jury remains out. FAIR JOY is racing extremely well and should find the breeze. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 7 – 1 Suggested Bet – GLIMMER GIRL EACHWAY Race 5 CLASSIC CHANT was scratched from a winnable race at Belmont midweek to save for this and her last start victory at Northam was super. She got to the best part of the track but she still clocked a time over 5L above benchmark. Hard to beat here freewheeling in front. WATTO’S FURY has been super consistent since joining Freddo Brown’s stable. WAR SECRETS improved sharply at Cambana Lodge and can go on with it. SMARTY returns to the races and has an X-Factor. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – CLASSIC CHANT WIN Race 6 SCOOTER’S MACHINE draws awkwardly but should give this a massive shake. There is a fair deal of speed but if Randy Tan can get any luck in running then his recent efforts jump off the page for a 50+ assignment. FAIRTRUSIVE has good race form and draws a gate. Midfield in a fast run race she’s the best finisher. GLUTEN FREE is a quirky type who blew in the market fresh and ran accordingly. NICKLAUS is a big awkward mover but has a motor. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – SCOOTER’S MACHINE WIN Race 7 PYM’S ROYALE absolutely brained them in the best 70+ race of the season last start to keep his undefeated Goldfields record in tact. He carries 62kg again and will concede them a big head start but he is the undisputed King of Kal. EXCARO is up sharply in class and races outside the handicap but worth a throw at the stumps. With the likely withdrawal of Senorita Bonita sits outside Bells Tower or crosses to lead. BADGE OF COURAGE should get every chance from the draw. WAR GOD has a big weight but suited in this class. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – PYM’S ROYALE WIN Race 8 TOUCH OF SILVER is probably a minor query at the 2100 but drawn perfectly in gate 5 Pateman should have him smothered up midfield with cover and then present him from the 600. His effort was full of merit in the Coolgardie Cup. NO SAY IN IT is well placed on the minimum and with luck is the hardest to hold out. BARRY’S RABBIT is completely unsuited at the weights but ran out of his skin last start. FIRST AFFAIR never saw daylight last start. Numbers: 2 – 11 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – TOUCH OF SILVER WIN Race 9 MACAVITY won well three starts ago and then stepped to the Tatts Cup when far from disgraced behind subsequent Coolgardie Cup winner in Fair Sonari. Dropping back from 2100 to a mile looks suitable and he draws a gate. TUMBLEWEED TANGO will be a big price but has put together two impressive performances. KEEPER MEAN drops back in trip and leads them a long way. MONSAH was fair at Belmont and better suited here. Numbers: 6 – 10 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – MACAVITY EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,4,5,10 2 2,3,6,11 1,2,3,6,10 Market Market
