Scott Embry’s Sunday Geraldton Preview Posted on March 26, 2021March 26, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MACHALI has gone close on two occasions since joining the stables of Gary Sorensen in Geradlton. Is now a 13 start maiden mare but her most recent effort beaten a nose Can’t Stop Now was strong and this race is no deeper. BUCKEYE BULLET won a Pinjarra trial back on 8 March. Was then 5L off them in a Belmont Park trial but it did contain Flicka’s Chance who nearly pinched an Ascot maiden on Wednesday. WINGSONMYFEET is one paced but last start kept coming. NIPPA WHISKEY can improve drawn soft. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – MACHALI WIN RACE 2 HOWSIT ran second to Sheky Red, beating home Out of Fashion three starts ago when leading and giving a solid kick turning for home. Then ran fifth behind Savage One and Out of Fashion this track and distance before tackling a Class B race at Mingenew and giving real cheek over 1200m. Leads and should give a sight. ATIA was a big improver last start and the form looks great with Zangief winning a Bunbury maiden since. PASSPORT had no luck last start and is drawn better. ALMATALK has shades on, Troy Turner on and brings intrigue. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – HOWSIT WIN RACE 3 ADMIRAL HUSSON looks to have found an excellent race. Lead them up last start at 1200m when being over run by in form duo Startrade and Significant Hero. That race was run 4L faster than C2 average and now Admiral Husson draws a softer gate, drops back to 1100m and finds a race with no pressure. Should lead, control and kick for home. OLIVIA KNOWS drops back sharply in trip. Has been getting to the line well recently over further. THE CROWN PRINCE was well found last start when scoring. Another who drops back in trip. AEROLITE should get a soft run. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – ADMIRAL HUSSON WIN RACE 4 SAKARYA was almost 2 months between runs last start when finishing worse than midfield behind Wildonbrook. Better suited stepping up to a mile, better suited second-up after the freshen and better suited with Troy Turner in the saddle. GINGER WILLIE has promised to win a race all preparation. Has done nothing wrong, but has also not won. CAN HE HUSSEL and SUMMIT TRAIL can both be hit and miss but are both well placed into this. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – SAKARYA WIN RACE 5 FOXHOOD has been knocking on the door. Three starts ago ran second to Run for Money, beating home subsequent winner Jevelation, then ran third in a three way go after being held up passing the 200m, most recently lead and was run down by Significant Hero and Wednesday (who was well supported in town and ran well). Looks her chance. TIME STARTS NOW hasn’t been far from the action since breaking maiden status earlier in the season. Gets the right run. FRIAR TUCK has a wide gate to navigate but has gone well for the new yard. HAYSTACKS is racing without much luck. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – FOXHOOD WIN RACE 6 MYCROFT gets weight swings on many rivals but most importantly on both Bombay Style and Quality Fair from various encounters over the season to date. Stepping out to 1900, drawn a gate to settle a pair close and there should be more tempo allowing him to get into the race. He can turn the tables. BOMBAY STYLE is awfully hard to knock. Hasn’t put a foot wrong in months and is racing with great consistency. QUALITY FAIR doesn’t know he’s 10. Still racing brilliantly but 1900m is an unknown for him. FREEDOM BY CHOICE improved sharply last start and loves the Gero 1900. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet: MYCROFT WIN RACE 7 WILDONBROOK is having a great season at Geraldton and thriving in the care of Adrian Tiver. Lead throughout three starts ago to score soft in a 58+, had genuine excuses in a bizarre race two starts ago and then sat over the top of a break neck speed last Saturday and was brave under the weight. Drawn to get the plumb run and is flying. MIDNIGHT ROCKET has been caught between 58+ and 70+ and this looks a nice selection of option for him with the claim. STARTRADE is going through the grade nicely. BITOVEMU has no weight and a turn of acceleration. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – WILDONBROOK WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,5,6,9 1,2 1,2,3,4,5 2,3,4,8 Market Market
