Scott Embry’s Sunday Carnarvon Preview Posted on July 10, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 CARMURLEA will be looking to find the front and now has the added addition of blinkesr for the first time. Expecting Beaux Edwards to find the front and while the inside rail has not been the best spot in running so far this season 1000m racing suits those with hard speed. DASH FOR KNICKERS is a new comer to the region and if she was to reproduce some of her early 3 year old runs would be too good for them but always a query first start on the dirt. RORY WHO got no luck at his Carnarvon debut and expecting an improvement. POPPIES deserves to win one for patient connections. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – CARMURLEA WIN RACE 2 STRIDE OUT was unable to get to the top last start and had to do a mountain of work. Michelle Hagley going on and replacing a 4kg apprentice is huge and he looks really well suited in the 68+ grade. Can lead and is the one they have to beat. JELANI EXPRESS had a wonderful Broome season and was much better last start. Looks to be building. MYTHICAL TRUST comes from the Ray Malpass yard and his entire team is on fire. SKY ATLAS a watch at his first dirt run. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – STRIDE OUT WIN RACE 3 PREMIO MOMENTO was able to match motors with all conquering Madrid Centro until the 250m mark at his most recent outing. That form doesn’t get any stronger, Madrid Centro is running serious time and from the wide gate Kate Southam gets across without a deal of speed drawn underneath. Gets his chance. MYBAK has a senior rider going on and looks close to breaking through. KNUCKLE DOWN is honest and consistent. Drawn a plumb gate and Hagley on always a positive. JUPITERS SUN was a big winner last start. Reproduces that and is awfully hard to hold out. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – PREMIO MOMENTO WIN RACE 4 REUCOOP ran some of the most impressive sections at his last start. Is a month between runs and tongue tie goes on but from the draw he should be able to stay out of trouble and provided he maintains form then this looks a very winnable race. ANGEL JUPITER is seemingly relishing a move to dirt racing. No reason why she can’t go through the grades in this sort of form. JUST FRIARS is a big query on the surface. Hoping Hagley can kick through to lead. CARSON DRIVE similarly. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – REUCOOP WIN RACE 5 ANDREINI was one of the replay watches of the season to date. Was tailed off last and yet kept on coming and coming charging through the line. Hannah Fitzgerald picks up the ride and provided she can get him out of the gates then he should take a stack of beating if reproducing that effort. GLEN ALBYN looks the big danger. 51 days between runs but always looked like he would make a great dirt horse. Has speed and if he leads he’ll take catching. MACAVITY has his first outing for a new yard. Talented type on his day. JENABEL ran well last start from well back. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – ANDREINI WIN RACE 6 NEWMARRACARRA was an arrogant winner over this trip, in this grade, for Keshaw Dhurun only two starts ago in slick time. Then stepped into 64+ grade at his most recent and still was far from disgraced in a race run some 3.5L faster than average. Back in grade he takes a lot of beating. BEHROOZ has his first start back on the track where he was blistering last season. Interesting to see how he returns. TWO COOL set the track alight last start albeit in weaker company. She’ll look to jump and run. BROWSING is eligible for easier but keep her in mind. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – NEWMARRACARRA WIN RACE 7 BIG BLOWS vs DANEFIN could be an early look at the 2020 Carnarvon Cup with both gallopers thriving on the dirt. BIG BLOWS was once a short priced favourite for the 2019 Broome Cup and the way he won last start he’ll take a stack of beating here even with the big weight. DANEFIN drops 2kg on his destruction of limited opposition last start. They looks like clearing right away from the rest. SEA TRYST continues to go well. ESPRESSO LASS another who will chase hard. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – BIG BLOWS WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 5,6 1,2,6 1,3,10 2,5 Market Market
