Scott Embry’s Sunday Broome Preview Posted on June 27, 2025June 27, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 AREDUET is a throw at the stumps at her first outing for new trainer Anthony Barton. 44 days ago was an alarming drifter and was beaten nearly 15L but back in July 2024 she placed behind Wind And The Lion, Safe Satyr and Glasgow Lass! All or nothing proposition. FAST JOHN was $5.50 into $1.90 last start and unfortunately once crossed didn’t look a chance of running down Rulesque at any stage. He’s getting closer and close to a win, however, definitely would have preferred if this was 1400m to 1200. WHAT SHOUT was able to find the top and give her typical cheeky effort. Just wants further. GRANITE ROCK next best. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – AREDUET WIN RACE 2 ROGUES POINT is a champ. He resumed first-up, no trial over 1300m and marched past Roey Clam for an emphatic victory. Concedes him 1.5kg for a 2L margin but the cult hero grey will again park up outside the lead and from there is the one to beat. He’s a ripper. ROEY CLAM has returned in career best form and from barrier 1 should lead again. That’s the only position he can beat Rogue’s Point from. FIND YOUR MAN and STARRING KNGIHT and will sit just behind the speed and be attacking the line late. Could easily be same first 4, same order. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – ROGUES POINT WIN RACE 3 RED REBEL has had three runs back in 70+ company and the one race where he sat up in the breeze he finished second to Roey Clam, beating home subsequent winner Bin Shalaa. He now drops back into 58+ grade and only carries 1.5kg more after the 4kg claim for Tiana Murray. If he leads he’ll be very hard to beat. CHOIXWAY is quickly finding his dirt feet and if Red Rebel can’t lead then the race opens right up for him. STREET MACHINO wants further but will improve second-up. MAKE YOUR POINT drops 3.5kg and is getting better with each run. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – RED REBEL WIN RACE 4 ON THE CHARGE is flying. He finished second to Plato Or Plomo over 1000 first-up, finished second to Kia Ora Koe second-up at 1100m, and third up at 1200m he did it tough and yet was still far too good for C2 opponents. Drawn better, maps better and considering the ground he covered last start have no issues with 1435m. KINGS CALL won a C2 by nearly 6.5L two back and then couldn’t get into the contest last start in a 58+. Big respect. SCHNOOTs and RULESQUE are both impressive last start maiden winners. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – ON THE CHARGE WIN RACE 5 LADY CABERNET had her first start for Roy Rogers and her first start on the dirt behind On The Charge (goes around in Race 4) and back to 1100m and back to 50+ grade look to both be in her favour. Like the setup for her to break through, just hope she isn’t crossed early. KIA ORA KOE should be an ideal apprentice’s horse because he’s jump and run. He’s drawn barrier 10/12 but with a 4kg claim Tiana Murray should be able to work her way across the face of the field into a prominent position over the speed. GUNNERSIDE and CITY OF SIN are both capable of charging forward early. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – LADY CABERNET WIN RACE 6 MAGNABURMA is loving life on the dirt and this race looks no harder than what he’s been winning. He rises another 1.5kg and again is drawn off the track but you can find these horses every season who are capable of sitting three deep outside the leader and still powering home late. That gives Mollie Clark the confidence to keep pressing forward until she finds the spot she wants. SHOULDER PATCH finally gets out to a more suitable distance and is going well. IMA WILD GIRL can hold a spot and is a danger with a split. CANDLELIGHT SHERIF won a very weak race last start. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 12 – 5 Suggested Bet – MAGNABURMA WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2 1,6 1,3,9,10 4 Market Market
