Scott Embry’s Saturday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 7, 2019February 11, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 WEE RIPPER was tough viewing for connections and one race caller last start when almost being knocked down by the stable mate at the 600 and rattling late into third. Repeats that performance and he almost wins. TALENT SCHOOL worked hard over the speed in the same race and loomed the winner. Can bounce back. REVEUSE was three deep the trip no cover last weekend and was brave. PRIZED NEMESIS was coming hard late when getting clear. Numbers: 8 – 12 – 7 – 2 Suggested Bet – WEE RIPPER WIN Race 2 CAPTAIN STIRLING won down the straight in a blistering 57.01 two starts ago. Was grabbed on the line last week and backs up off 7 days returning to the 1000m straight. DAM READY won down the middle on the same day as Captain Stirling. Was equally as impressive and now draws the ‘right’ side. NIGHT VOYAGE missed away last week and lost all winning chance. Big effort after that to run a place. MY DEMI found traffic last time she ran into Captain Stirling. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – CAPTAIN STIRLING WIN Race 3 CAROCAPO left them all for dead on the corner at his second start back from a long injury enforced lay off. He was going up and down on the same spot over the last 50 when gobbled in. Should be cherry ripe here and gets his chance. THREE SECRETS was eye catching in defeat first-up when charging late. Will again get back. CHECKERS is unfortunately destined to tramp three deep the trip again. DANNY GEORGE an improver back to Pinjarra and fresh. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – CAROCAPO WIN Race 4 MIKIMOTO was all the rage first-up after over 400 days away from the races. She was smashed in betting and while she did it tough most expected a bigger performance. Small field suits. ROYAL MISSILE carries a big weight but will find this a different ball game to chasing sharp fillies and mares. PRINCESS ZELDA is a slight query at the trip but in form. RESISTANCE was arguably better than Mikimoto last start and will be double the price. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – MIKIMOTO WIN Race 5 ALPHA SKY was pulling in the breeze last start with the shades on and in this race from 8 he looks like crossing down to the fence if they so elect. His form is strong and he is in another winnable race. GET OVER IT fresh 4 weeks between runs and back from 1400 to 1200 and Glenn Smith on will have some taking notice. BEAT THE DEVIL likely ends up in the breeze and the form around him all preparation has been excellent. FORCEFUL will get back in traffic and be weaving through late. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – ALPHA SKY EACHWAY Race 6 MISS WEST COAST led them up last start but looks like the kind of filly who will improve when ridden with a sit. Landing just off them here she can post another career best and looks the one to beat. NICCOVI comes back to the races with huge wraps and a big trial win. JERICHO MISSILE won well on debut in the Crystal Slipper and will have admirers. MIA DOLCE not certain to lead but will be right on the speed. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – MISS WEST COAST WIN Race 7 SAMIZDAT could be something special. Won from last on a heavy7 on debut as a 2 year old and then was immediately tipped out. Recent trial was impressive and he looks to have a serious motor and an exciting X-Factor. CHIX PIC on weights and measures will be extremely hard to beat. He deserves to be favourite but will be almost eachway odds. SOPHIE’S SONG gets it soft behind the stablemate. BLACKWOOD RIVER is worth following into a Derby prep. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 13 – 4 Suggested Bet – SAMIZDAT WIN Race 8 DELICATE MISS was huge three deep the trip no cover in the Mandurah Cup and then was far from disgraced when 5th in the Diggers Trophy. Maps to sit leaders back in a race with far less tempo to recent assignments and can bob up at a price. WESTERN TEMPLE was savaging the line late and will again be getting of them and flooding home. FONTAINEBLEAU likely takes it up here and runs to suit. MY GREEK BOY comes across to keep her company and won well last start. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – DELICATE MISS EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4,6,7,8 1,3,9 2,5 1,2,4,6,7,9 Market Market
