Scott Embry’s Saturday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 26, 2025June 26, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 LORD SHIVA is 38 days between runs having scratched from the Heavy9 conditions last weekend. His two runs for new trainer Mitchell Pateman have produced a three quarter length C3 victory and an emphatic near 5L C3 victory, both over the 1000m. He’s thriving on being ridden for pure speed and expect that Holly Watson will come out fast in an attempt to cross as many as possible. LET’S TALK raced 28 days ago and finished a game third behind Prospector’s Pick and subsequent winner En Plein Air. On that day the outside fence wasn’t as ‘fast’ as usual so there was a lot of merit to the effort. PADDY’S FLYIN improves back in grade. EMPRESS OF INDIA has returned well. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – LORD SHIVA WIN RACE 2 MARDUSA trialled super (without blinkers) and then toyed with his rivals first-up at Northam. There was nothing in that race in terms of quality and depth compared to these Saturday 2 year olds but it was more about the manner in which he put them away and extended over the concluding stages of the event. Looks highly progressive. BABY PEARL and ELLE VEE are both high speed front running types with big futures. They’ll control from the top and kick hard into the corner, however, Mardusa will be stalking them. MONTE TREMEZZO won well on debut and trialled nicely for her return. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 10 – 3 Suggested Bet – MARDUSA WIN RACE 3 REPOSSESSION is starting to stamp himself as a future Black Type Sprinter and Team Gangemi have found another very nice race on the way through the grades. He is two from two this preparation both in 3 year old Plates and he now takes on the older horses at 1200m with regular rider Brad Parnham back in the saddle. The only time he has raced at 1200 he finished within a length of Wind And The Lion, London’s Image and Golden Vale in a Placid Ark. Flying. HANCHI put the writing on the wall last start with a luckless defeat at the hands of Richanco. CELESTIAL STORM was in that same race and fought on well. COOL MEMORY was brilliant first-up and if they can keep him sound he’ll win plenty more. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 10 – 7 Suggested Bet – REPOSSESSION WIN RACE 4 ARCADIA PARK is drawn off the track in barrier 15/15 which makes CJP’s life difficult, however, he’s going to go around at an eachway quote in what looks a very open contest. The 3 year olds (especially at this time of year) have a great record in these 60+ Graduation races and he was very good sitting outside the leader in a race where they stopped the clock 4.5L faster than average. OUR PALADIN AL has won his last two in style and drops 2.5kg. Like the blinkers being removed too. RALLY THE TROOPS found the step to 3 year old Listed company a bridge too far last start. AMJAAD can roll to the top this time. Numbers: 6 – 11 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – ARCADIA PARK EACHWAY RACE 5 HISTORY WON’T CARE ‘only’ won a Westspeed Platinum first-up, however, 1200m was always going to be short of his best and the fact that Sunny Honey has come out of that event and run third behind Cool Memory and Keep Ita Mystery in a 72+ helps you trust the form. Always looked a nice horse in the making and hopefully this is his breakout preparation. REGAL SERVICE was super last start and now has a set of shades added. CJP jumps off – red flag? EN PLEIN AIR was $12 into $4.80 last start and didn’t let her followers down. Two runs this preparation have been career best. Can win again.. LOMBADINA went to a new level last prep. Numbers: 7 – 12 – 10 – 9 Suggested Bet – HISTORY WON’T CARE EACHWAY RACE 6 WANT A WINNER is two from two undefeated and was scratched from a winnable race last weekend to save for this. He’ll bounce out and put himself in a position just behind a hot tempo and he looks both raw and exciting. Think he can remain undefeated. HORCRUX trialled well for his return and has a sharp turn of foot and a positive racing pattern. Lots to like. MY HIDDEN UNIVERSE is a nice horse and while all the attention will understandably be on Horcrux and Want A Winner he’s more than capable of matching it with them. If Brandon Louis can somehow march around them in the early stages and find the position outside the leader then it’s game on. OBJECTIFY was back to her best last start. Numbers: 12 – 10 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – WANT A WINNER WIN RACE 7 STORYVILLE is the big winner at Set Weights. She gets a 5kg weight swing on Opportunistic and a 3.5kg weight swing on Elite Missile from the Raconteur Stakes, and arguably more importantly for her winning chances, she’s going to race on a Good4. She didn’t seem to appreciate the shifting nature of the track at Bunbury last start and wasn’t comfortable at any stage. Think she can bounce back to her best here. OPPORTUNISTIC and ELITE MISSILE came charging down the outside together and certainly found the best part of the track that day. They’re both highly talented and legitimate chances. FIFTH ESSENCE is so green but pretty good. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – STORYVILLE WIN Same Race Multi – Storyville (Top 2) + Elite Missile (Top 3) Storyville gets huge weight swings on the two horses who beat her home in the Raconteur going from SWP to SW. She gets 5kg on Opportunistic and 3.5kg on Elite Missile and also races on a Good4 which all seem to point towards her bouncing back. Elite Missile was eating up the ground late over 1400m and will be flooding home again. RACE 8 WUBIN GOLD kept her undefeated second-up record in tact with a dead heat result alongside Objectify last start. Wanting 1400m now and can even settle a bit closer from her more favourable barrier draw. She’s placed twice with 59kg and is one of many winning chances in an open finish. POND MASTER is nicely placed when you consider he was only a few lengths behind the Belmont Guineas fancies last start. Had a great prep. SPEED DREAM is in career best form as a near 8 year old. Nearly beat Luvnwar last start! CHOLLIMA finally broke through last start after a string of luckless performances spanning 12 months. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – WUBIN GOLD EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 4,7,9,10,12 6,10,12 2,3,7 2,4,7,8,9,11 Market Market
