Scott Embry’s Saturday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 31, 2025July 31, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 RADIANT LIGHT trialled super behind undefeated juvenile Twisted Steel, ran well on debut behind Mardusa and then ran into one of the box last weekend in King Of Light. He’s 1400m back to 1200m but considering the forecast – it’s probably not the worst thing to be fit and tough at the end. SPLIT THE GEE is a winner taking on maidens and trialled really well for her return. Never out of second gear and made plenty of late ground. HUBBLE’S DRAGON had no luck on debut. CAPE LEEUWIN should be able to work his way forward early. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – RADIANT LIGHT WIN RACE 2 REPEATER has simply returned a better animal this time around. His trial was ridiculously good and then he bolted in on a wet track first-up at Bunbury in a C1 and then produced the identical result in a C3 second-up on another wet track at Pinjarra. He’s a Universal Ruler so there’s no surprises that he’s thriving in the winter conditions and Jade Tangaroa has timed her run to perfection with another 20mm forecast Saturday. CRUISE TO VICTORY was brave first-up after being caught three and four deep the trip and then second-up ran into a duck in Asphalt and lost no admirers. HISTORY WON’T CARE races like he’s wanting further? KIRALUI scratched from a winnable race Wednesday to save for this. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – REPEATER WIN RACE 3 TERRATIF picks herself. She sat rearwards over 1000m first-up, cut the corner (beautiful ride from William Pike) and was able to sprint clear of a talented then 3 year old in Snow God. She’s arguably better suited out to 1200m and is a mare who with more luck throughout her career could have easily won another 3 – 4 races. This looks her breakout prep. GI GI POPS is a sharp mare on her day. She’s nearly beaten Shmoov Moova in a 66+ 1400 and off the back of a strong trial Tim Crosby reaches for a set of shades. SUNSHINE TAFE was asked for little in her trial. COUNTESS OF KENNA can measure up at this level but needs a big ride. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 9 – 11 Suggested Bet – TERRATIF WIN RACE 4 MULTINATIONAL hates Ascot. His record there is 7:0-0-1 and if you take that away he is 29:8-5-1 finishing in the Top 2 at 45% of his non-Ascot starts. He loves Belmont, he loves 1400m, he loves wet tracks and he should be able to bounce out in a stalking role following Lord Gannicus. Like the set up, especially at eachway. VAST ART was a brilliant return in the H.G Bolton and he’s even better suited at 1400m. Winnable for him. SENSESSSINAL and SISU WARRIOR are both more than capable at this level near the min. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – MULTINATIONAL EACHWAY Same Race Multi – Vast Art (Top 3) + Multinational (Top 3) Vast Art was an outstanding return in the H.G Bolton Stakes at Bunbury when charging home late and is better suited getting out to 1400m. Multinational has been given a 6 week freshen by Neville Parnham and does his best work on speed, at 1400m, on wet tracks. Both to run Top 3. RACE 5 ON PATROL is a difficult horse to follow with great confidence because he gets so far back in his races and needs to be ridden ugly to get to the outside, however, on a day where it’s quite possibly going to pour he gets his chance and has certainly returned in good order. PETROUCHKA is a staying mare who can sprint quite well fresh. 4L off The Boss Lady in a Jungle Dawn is good enough to win this. AUTUMN REBEL has lost the sprint so don’t be too harsh on his 950m Lark Hill trials. LITTLE SILVER produced a career PB last start but does look a big chance of being 3 deep? Numbers: 9 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – ON PATROL EACHWAY RACE 6 KISSES FROM KELLY has backed up three times in his life for 2 wins and a narrow second (splitting Antique Miss and Filthy Habits!). He loves the quick back-up and was a great run last weekend behind Famous Dain. He’ll have his knockers with 60.5kg on a likely Heavy track but kept out of trouble and flowing into the race he’s a genuine eachway threat. DUN WITH THE BLUES gets a 4.5kg weight swing on Snazzler with the engagement of ZJP. Personally not a fan of apprentices on stayers but she’ll understandably have followers. SNAZZLER was the beneficiary of a 10/10 Holly Watson ride. COSMIC CHAOS is building. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – KISSES FROM KELLY EACHWAY RACE 7 SHMOOV MOOVA looks the kind of 4 year old who will continue to burst his way through the grades and announce himself as a Feature Race contender. He has been his own worst enemy at times throughout his career but if his trial is anything to go by he’s about to start putting it all together. Drawn awkwardly but has won swooping and won leading. Nothing better than a versatile horse on a wet track. WUBIN GOLD is a ripper. Ridden cold over 1200m seems to be her sweet spot. SUPERSESSION is racing well and the claim really helps. DESERT NYMPH swims and was solid fresh at an unsuitable trip. Numbers: 11 – 3 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – SHMOOV MOOVA WIN RACE 8 OUTSPOKEN LAD has returned in good enough order to suggest that he can win this third-up at a mile. Loved the fresh run over an unsuitable 1200m and wasn’t disgraced second-up behind Linden’s Gold and On Patrol (goes round in Race 5). Should roll forward into a spot and looks ready to run a cheeky race at a price. SHOWLAS gives 110%. 1600m is as far as she wants at this stage of her career but she’ll lead and give a big kick. MYSTICAL MAN trialled as well as Essentric Nature and people wanted to declare him last week in a 66+ 1200! UNCLE GERARD will sit back and have last crack at them but just doesn’t want to win? Numbers: 1 – 8 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – OUTSPOKEN LAD EACHWAY Market Market
