This race has undoubtedly more depth with the Bamford pair in Smokey Mountain and Ima Wild Girl engaged but local trainer Alan Smith knows how to get his horses up on Cup Day. SMOKEY MOUNTIAN is a jump and run type who has plenty more dirt wins in him. IMA WILD GIRL showed last preparation she’ll get ground on the dirt but can also sprint well fresh. Went around 100-1 but finished 2.2L off Wise Words, Pretty Devine and Talking Heads. That’s good enough to pinch this. DOES HE KNOW has Amy Jo Hayes who claims 2kg at Pingrup (which is wild) and following her in these lower class races could be the best move.
