Scott Embry’s Saturday Mingenew Preview Posted on March 12, 2021March 12, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 XAARMERIT should be able to work his way to the top and from there is the one they need to run down. ROMASKO has been ticking along alright and can be forgiven for last starts below par performance. ENCENDIO has been going better than paper form suggests at Geraldton. ENSIGN PULVER suited back in trip. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – XAARMERIT WIN RACE 2 HOWSIT should find the front from the inside draw and has been showing sufficient speed and ability at Geraldton to suggest she’ll take a fair bit of running down in this event. Can break her maiden in this 45+. UNITOOL really caught the eye at York on the public holiday Monday meeting and arguably should have gone close to winning. MUMSTHEONE was the target of good backing at his first few starts for Darryn Pateman. BANGCRASH the X-Factor runner returning from a let up. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – HOWSIT WIN RACE 3 MR ROSSI has speed, is drawn an inside gate, is well weighted in this kind of company with the 3kg claim of Holly Watson and if finding the front can give them all something to chase and to run down. Effort four starts ago when nailed on the post was strong. ICELANDER is drawn awkwardly but did make half a run at them at York. SONIC DASH ran well behind Sly As a Fox and Zangief. MUDS TOO HARD showed real ability in her early days. Looking for her to improve. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – MR ROSSI WIN RACE 4 EVOLUTIONIST can mix his form but the first up run for the new stable when running second to Allageri and beating home All The Julz looks super form for a race like this. Can hold a position in running and if the real Evolutionist turns up he’ll be hard to beat. AEECEE TIANHU hasn’t won a race for well over 1000 days but won’t get a better opportunity than this. Has been going well at Geraldton recently in stronger races than this. SHACKLETON is a question mark at 1400m but has arguably the best race form of any of these. MAJESTIC MAN was well supported at York but had 0 to offer when getting the gaps. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – EVOLUTIONIST WIN RACE 5 PLEAD THE FIFTH won the Kojonup Cup two starts ago when Demi Rose let her roll and she saluted holding off the late challenge of Big Caroline (actually really good viewing if you go to the Country Racing Facebook page). Was specked at a price last weekend in a Saturday race at Bunbury when beating more than half the field home behind Oaks aspirant Reliable Star. Looks the Cup winner on paper. GALAXY BLAZE won well last start and is a track/distance specialist. Hard to beat. COSTA LANTE has probably been set for a race like this and it would be a rarity if Darryn Pateman left without a winner. Going well. KWIK FANTASY has been getting back and running on recently. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – PLEAD THE FIFTH WIN RACE 6 STOCKYARD GOSSIP has been leaving much better of recent times and will need too in order to stay with the leaders. Last start form behind Helms Gate and Cloak and Dagger is Esperance Sprint type of form, much stronger than required to win a race like this. Ivan Haggerty has her going well and she looks hard to toss. DANEHILL MATILDA is capable of carrying the weight and did run fourth in a 70+ behind Quality Fair last start. FASCINATION was a C2 winner at Geraldton four starts ago over 1100m when sitting wide throughout, then ran third in a 58+ beaten by Bombay Style and Greco. RUBY’S LEGACY always a chance if she finds the top. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – STOCKYARD GOSSIP WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 3 2,3 4,6,7 1,3,4,6,7 Market Market
