Scott Embry’s Saturday Kununurra Preview Posted on September 2, 2022September 2, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 DON’T WAIT and WRITE YOUR NAME were both impressive winners at their most recent encounters and look like dominating this market and race. DON’T WAIT beat Halgard and Signor Fangio who were both plunged last Saturday at the Kununurra Cup meeting and both won accordingly. Going to go his way but with massive respect for WRITE YOUR MAN. The fact WRITE YOUR NAME dropped back to 1100m and won last weekend which was a massive effort. NEW ROMAN can kick through with no weight. ORNAMENTAL BELLE next best. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DON’T WAIT WIN RACE 2 COIN COLLECTOR was first-up at a mile last weekend and got the job done. 7 days later he strikes a very similar field (near identical) and while he rises 1.5kg for a narrow victory he should enjoy a similar run in transit and should only improve fitness wise. FEED THE MONSTER and ZOU DER ZEE both get 1.5kg on him for a narrow margin when dead heating for second. They’re the obvious dangers. CONSTANT CAUSE ran well at the opening meeting. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – COIN COLLECTOR WIN RACE 3 LETHAL ENCOUNTER has run two good races since coming to Kununurra. Finished second to More Snitzel when everything that could go wrong did go wrong and then finished third to Signor Fangio and Casino War in a 56+ last weekend. Drops back into a 48+ and seemingly handles the Kununrra style of racing. Nice assignment for him. CHILLI BEAN finds the top but was disappointing last week. MORE SNITZEL beat home Lethal Encounter at the opening meeting and can bounce back. REAL DIVINE an improver. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – LETHAL ENCOUNTER WIN RACE 4 SIGNOR FANGIO finished third behind Don’t Wait and Halgard at the opening meeting in a race which was run 3L faster than average. No surprise to see the money come from Halgard and Signor Fangio last weekend and they both scored in style. See no reason why Signor Fangio can’t win again. WAR GAMES was a shade disappointing last weekend. Previous two runs were solid and think that he can kick through to lead this. RAFFALLI won last weekend before weighing in light. Keep very safe. LUNAR MACH was solid last week. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – SIGNOR FANGIO WIN RACE 5 HATTAN MAN was really strong in betting last week and finished second behind Write Your Man. Write Your Name could easily win R1 on the program making the form look even better and thinking here that Jade Hampson can settle him right over the top of the speed and prove too strong late. ARROGANT MISS doesn’t win out of turn and now has 63kg to lump. POCKET PISTOL is going along alright and is drawn to get a lovely run. SPILL THE MONEY finished off well behind New Roman but is still a maiden. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – HATTAN MAN WIN RACE 6 MANGIONE won at the opening meeting at Kununurra over 1800m when beating home Lunch Session. Lunch Session then came out last weekend and won the Kununurra Cup by 5.5L when dominating from the front. They meet again here and there’s a weight swing in favour of Mangione. Shouldn’t be much between them. LUNCH SESSION destroyed them in the Cup and was another Dick Leech plunge special. No reason why he can’t win again with 60kg. BOOM BOOM SWEET will keep whacking away. FREQUENT FRIAR next best. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – MANGIONE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1 1,6 2 1,5 Market Market
