Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on April 19, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 GREAT CHARADE was impressive on debut and from the gun draw can even lead or box seat. BLACK SABBATH looked well and truly above average at trials, big imposing type. TRADE PRIZE improves for the fresh outing. SUPER STARDOM was well found in betting and won well last start. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – GREAT CHARADE EACHWAY Race 2 SARISKA comes back to the races with some seriously high expectations. He didn’t quite deliver on debut but looks to have come back well. FROSTY BAY looks best suited when allowed to stride infront. CLEVER DICK was caught in all sorts of traffic last weekend. QUIRKY GIRL next best. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – SARISKA WIN Race 3 PRIZE CATCH has a handy 7 day back-up record and is a multiple soft track winner. Didn’t really get a crack at them last weekend. MY GREEK BOY is going from strength to strength and can definitely win again. BROKER is the lightly raced up and comer well placed. MIRACLE MAN taking on the older horses is respected. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – PRIZE CATCH WIN Race 4 GOODLUCK SIMBA was an impressive winner two starts ago and backed it up with an eye catcher over the staying trip. Back in distance, gear change and senior rider aboard he appeals. DANEFIN is in his most winnable race in a long time and at a winnable weight. PRIX D’EXCELLENCE can be slippery in front. MONGOLIAN WARLORD deserves a crack in town. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – GOODLUCK SIMBA EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 4 No. 8 Goodluck Simba - Place Boost Race 5 JINGTANG has gone to another level this preparation stretching the neck of a very nice one in Floyd. Will need to improve again here but capable. SALORSCI is undefeated fresh and over the sprint trip, he is all class. SNOW LORD gets the right run for him on leader’s back. SHOW HONEY will be in traffic. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 10 Suggested Bet – JINGTANG EACHWAY Race 6 NECKLET looks a nice 3 year old filly in the making and gets a wonderful chance to slide across and park outside a slow tempo with a postage stamp weight. MIZLECKI was an impressive winner of the Raconteur and gets a gun run. ROYAL MISSILE will conceed the three year olds a head start from back in the field. SWEET ORA next best. Numbers: 10 – 9 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – NECKLET WIN Race 7 DARK MUSKET has poor paper form for a race like this but has been bolting in his last two starts and should get a nice tow into the race three deep with cover. NOT AGAIN KEN looks very well suited to French rider Julien Kokotajlo. I’M A BLUEBAGGER is one of the only horses proven at this trip. DUDEMANBRO should enjoy a soft run. Numbers: 5 – 10 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – DARK MUSKET EACHWAY Race 8 MONEY MAHER has the most natural gate speed of any runner in this race and so he should land in the box seat yet again. No reason why he can’t win again. LIKE A BUTTERFLY was enormous in the Oaks and if she can get cover is right in the mix. SENTIMENTAL FRIEND will look to hold a prominent position. ACTION is a query as to where he maps and if he may be ridden upside down. Numbers: 1 – 14 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – MONEY MAHER WIN Race 9 MINUS LOOKS was incredibly well supported last start and failed to give a yelp over 1200m. Forgiving that run and he is the class runner in this race. STORM DANCER is hard to catch but more than capable of winning this. RUN LIAM RUN box seats from the gate. CAPTIVATED POINT is likely to roll with the engagement of Hall. Numbers: 5 – 10 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – MINUS LOOKS WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 2,9,10 2,4,5,6,7,8,10,11,13 1,2,4,14 5,10 Bet Now
