Scott Embry’s Friday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 31, 2020December 31, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 GINGER KNIGHT was beaten 6.4L last start but in a 1000m maiden won by a highly talented type in Wilchino in a race run 7L faster than maiden average. Worth following that as a form reference (and we will at this meeting) and down the straight Ginger Knight gets his chance. NATURAL AIRCHIEF should be suited down the straight. Races on speed and seems to go where-every he is steered. SPICY DANGER is kept fresh and Brett Pope’s horses fly down the straight. MOLLY MAGEE looks talented and with Pike on is a winning chance. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – GINGER KNIGHT WIN RACE 2 MYSTERY MAN looks another serious talent for George Dupre. Stable flying. Trial enormous. Looks more than capable of winning Saturday races and is well placed into a 3 year old maiden first-up. Like him as a type and worth following going forward. WARM N FUZZY was all the rage coming out of the trials when shades went on and he rolled mid-trial and won by a margin. Went shocking first-up at 1100m and ran a woeful sixth. Blinkers off, back to 1000m, down the straight. Worth forgiving. OZZY BOY was hard in the market on debut when failing to fire a shot. First-up no trial, keep safe. GINGER SENORITA an improver at odds. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – MYSTERY MAN WIN RACE 3 CLASSY STRATUM is knocking on the door and gets another wonderful chance to break her maiden status. Ran second at odds two starts ago behind Isopoda and then backed it up with a narrow defeat behind Float Our Boat. Get a good guide to the strength of that form through Float Our Boat on Wednesday at Bunbury but she looks ready to win one. CHOKSLAM has had her fair share of chances. More gear changes in an attempt to get her to race tractably. Wins one eventually but not with my money. COMEALILBITCLOSER has been given every hope by Pateman at each outing recently. We’ll see here what Pike is worth. KNOWSEY BEAR ran above market expectation first-up. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – CLASSY STRATUM WIN RACE 4 MIDNIGHT HOUR comes from the extremely high rating maiden behind Wilchino and Universal Pleasure. He was the eye catching run from behind them when they were stretched out over 10-15L at various stages and stepping out to 1300m looks hard to hold out late. Meets a moderate field and gets his best chance yet. FIERY BAY was rarely far from the action in his first preparation and with natural experience and improvement looms as the danger. PURPLE PEARL is going well and draws a kind gate. SUZUKI STAR looked to have a bit at trials. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – MIDNIGHT HOUR WIN RACE 5 FREE SOLO ran fourth on debut behind subsequent C1 winner Dash Doll and subsequent maiden winner Prized Nemesis. Looks a strong form reference race and from the draw he should be in a winnable position throughout. Step up in trip looks to suit and he should go very close to winning. HEELS A PLENTY was only fair last start but that race really has turned into a strong form race. Well worth forgiving and following up. I SKATE never got into the race fresh. Senior rider on a big plus. RED HOT DUBAI can improve. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – FREE SOLO WIN RACE 6 TOMMY BLUE is only a C1 but some of her race form is tremendous for this C5. Second to Cryptic Wonder in a Pinjarra Magic Millions, fourth to Talladega and Long Beach, third to Cliffs of Comfort and River Beau, second to Son of a God. Flopped badly first-up but willing to forgive. Comes into it fresh and even with the weight looks hard to toss. OCEANS FIFTEEN was a tough watch for connections last Saturday. Finds plenty of excuses but it’s time for him to stand up. AMELIA BEDELIA and BEDOUIN BELLE are both ultra consistent and rarely far from the action. Gets opportunities for a pair of emerging 3kg apprentices. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – TOMMY BLUE WIN RACE 7 MEGAZONE finally draws a gate and is astutely placed by the white hot Ash Maley yard. Resumed in a 72+ behind Carocapo and then ran an eye catching fourth to Ziebell and Long Beach second-up. Got too far out of his ground last start in a high rating 72+ behind Dig Deep and now fourth up in the preparation drops back in grade to a 66+, draws a gate to settle closer to the speed, gains the services of Paul Harvey and returns to Pinjarra where is he 2 from 2. Placement/10. COMFORT ME really caught the eye at trials and his first-up run suggests he is capable of continuing on through the grades. Really impressed with what he was able to produce at 1100m. KELVIN hasn’t fired a shot since his brilliant first-up effort. He should lead this and is a different horse in front at 1400m. FRED DAG should be about ready and hasn’t seen a race of this nature for a while. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – MEGAZONE WIN RACE 8 MISSALFIE comes back into a C1 after contesting harder races for a fair while now. Ran 2nd four starts ago to Chantrea, then went into a C3 and a 3YO 0MWLY when racing without luck in unsuitable races. Resumed in a C3 when an impressive fourth behind Truiara, Belle of Liberty and Mr Delegator. Drops back in grade, kept fresh and might sneak under the guard. DIFFERENTIATOR ran out of her skin last start in a far tougher race than this won by Flower of Scotland. Well placed back into C1 company. APACHE PATROL won well on debut and then never looked comfortable in a sit sprint last start. FROSTY BELLE is going well. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – MISSALFIE WIN RACE 9 AXEL R EIGHT was first-up at 2100m at Belmont off a 473 day spell last campaign when he ran an almighty third behind Queen Takes King. Nothing really went right for him at his next two. Has had a 1450 trial to prepare him for this and Daren McAuliffe’s yard is one of the very few who you could entertain first-up at a staying trip. LOLLIPOP LANE has come of age the last few runs at the staying trip. Going well and gets in on the minimum. REGENT STAR has returned to racing super this preparation and is knocking on the door. HEAPS OF MOOLAH did a stack of work last start and looks a real trier. Numbers: 2 – 13 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – AXEL R EIGHT WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 2,3,4,5,6 4,5,6,8 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10 1,2,9,12,13 Market Market
