Scott Embry’s Friday Geraldton Preview Posted on May 21, 2020May 21, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BLACK DYNAMITE was impressive last start winning the Everest (you’d so think with the salute and 18974 social media posts) and if he can get a similar run here then he should post back to back wins. Broke a long drought last start and looks perfectly placed to win again. ESPRESSO LASS looks the logical danger and gets 1kg on him for a 1L defeat last start. GALAXY can improve quickly in the preparation. MYTHICAL TRUST could kick through to lead and give some cheek. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – BLACK DYNAMITE WIN RACE 2 OLD BAILEY looks to be a nice little acquisition for Ash Maley’s yard. Should work across from the middle alley and nearly take up the running and if he is in the first couple as they turn for home should be a big winning chance. INDISISIVE has been well supported her last couple and Gordon Spowart has her going really well. SCENIC CHARM has had 11 cracks at it now but is starting to show some heart in her races. MUMSTHEONE next best from the perfect draw. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – OLD BAILEY WIN RACE 3 MADRID CENTRO was really good three starts ago when running fourth to Schoolhouse Rock, Keeper’s Tale and Lil Red Bikini. Heavily commissioned two starts ago over the short course when running third and then last start was drawn to sit deep the trip and drifted accordingly. Up to 1400m Rudland should nearly find the front and he is great chance here. BALRANTO has been knocking on the door the last few months and draws a nice alley. BANGCRASH has claims at favouritism if he gains a start. Decent run last start in a tougher race. HAYSTACKS next best if he can reproduce his maiden winning effort. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 11 – 2 Suggested Bet – MADRID CENTRO WIN RACE 4 I WONDER has been a revelation his last two. Won at 125-1 two starts back under Jordan Turner and then showed it was no fluke last start when dominating the race under Alan Kennedy. Is a winner at 1900 so the step up in trip should only suit him more than this is another winnable race. COOL DYNAMITE was ridden to perfection last start by Victoria Corver and a highly in form Kyra Yuill takes over. She is a big danger. PAIR OF FIVEZ should enjoy a nice run from the draw. POINT was far from disgraced first start for a new yard. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – I WONDER WIN RACE 5 KHAN has been there abouts without winning for a number of months now. Drops back in grade sharply here and after the claim gets in with a winnable 60kg. From the gate he should be afforded every opportunity by Kate Southam. SCOTOPIA won well last start after only a handful of runs in WA. Reproduces that effort and goes close. SPORTING IMAGE may sneak under the guard fresh. Can cross and can definitely win. BITOVEMU won well last start and has been in form for a while. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – KHAN WIN RACE 6 GLEN ALBYN has been a real ever green for Jimmy Grieve and now Ray Malpass. They have both had sustained success with the old galloper and he shows no signs of training off. Should control the tempo from the inside and gives a kick. ADMIRAL PROMO is a gun ride for 4kg claiming apprentice Kristo Sardelic. Still looking for that elusive first winner and this is probably his best chance yet to kick one home. BLITZ GLORY has been far from disgraced in tougher Ascot metro races his last couple. Ran second in a 70+ at Geraldton only 5 starts ago. ROLL THE GOODTIMES is a hard horse to catch but good enough. Numbers: 5 – 7 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – GLEN ALBYN EACHWAY RACE 7 STELLAR IGNITION is placed to perfection and looks poised to return to the winner’s enclosure. Last start in a higher grade of race than this he ran well finishing third behind Black Dynamite and Espresso Lass beating home Calabria Joe and Khan. This is a weaker assignment and he either leads or breezes. ASHBURN and MAKFI AMOUR are the other two speed horses and look the other two winning chances. FASCINATION should be just behind them and doing his best late. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – STELLAR IGNITION WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,3,4,6,7 1,3,4,5,6,10 3,5,6,7 1,3,4 Market Market
