Oli Cownie’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 16, 2024July 16, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 MENEMSHA (4) returns to racing last seen in April running third to Bet The House in very fast time. He’s a group one winner and has to be respected in this race. PRINCE OF PAIN (5) is a winner of two of his last three starts including a victory at Gloucester Park over Linebacker. CORK CAN RUN (6) was able to score last start when leading in an easier race. He will likely need to lift of that effort to be in the finish here. I CROSS MY HEART (1) likely to secure a soft trip on the speed and can be thereabouts. Tips: 4 5 6 1 Suggested Bet: First Four: 4 / 5 / 1, 6 / 1, 2, 6 Race 2 ADORE ME SOME MORE (2) got a long way back in the run last start. Her run prior she sat in the one out one back and just missed late driving at Make Your Mark. MALAKIE (1) disappointed last start making no real impression late. Draws the inside in this and is likely to secure a soft trip. ARTISTIC SCRIBE (7) has been good in recent outings finishing off well. CHAMBRAY (8) was able to lead and win last start after working early. Draws awkwardly but does have speed. Tips: 2 1 7 8 Suggested Bet: ADORE ME SOME MORE (2) to win. Race 3 RASCAL (4) showed gate speed last start but wasn’t able to cross Medieval Man. He locked wheels once tiring so the margin of defeat was bigger than it otherwise would’ve been. RODASI (10) made late headway last start behind Rattlin Lily. Looks an awkward draw but he can be running on if the gaps appear. MAKE IT QUICK (5) had broken gear last start and was pulled out of the race. Can be forgiven for that effort and looks one for the minor money in this race. JOHNNY LOMBO (9) made an error last start and finds himself out of the draw. Tips: 4 10 5 9 Suggested Bet: RASCAL (4) to win. Race 4 GEE SMITH (2) was just doing his best work late last start after getting back from the wide gate. He’s got gate speed and will likely look to get onto the front and prove hard to beat. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (1) sat leaders back last start and did enough to nab third on the line. Looks likely to get a similar run in this race. SIDSTREPO (6) was the first horse three wide over the 2500 last time out and stuck on well at the finish to not be beaten far. BALTIC ACE (3) appeared to be travelling up sweetly in behind them with nowhere to go. Draws much better in this and was an impressive winner three runs ago. Tips: 2 1 6 3 Suggested Bet: GEE SMITH (2) to win. Race 5 RUBINS PLIGHT (9) got a long way back first up from a spell and didn’t have the clearest passage in the concluding stages. Took on much stronger company last time in. INFINITE SIGN (2) lead three runs ago and ended up dropping out to run seventh. Was just doing his best work late last start from an awkward draw. Should be fitter and looks one of the main chances. BEYOND BLING (7) is racing in good form. Won from a long way back in the run three runs ago before a competitive third two back. CHAMPAGNE STYLE (1) expecting an improved performance from the good gate. Tips: 9 2 7 1 Suggested Bet: RUBINS PLIGHT (9) to win. Race 6 UNLUCKY (11) didn’t show any gate speed last start and found herself towards the rear. Worked into it strongly late and was an eye catching third. MISS SHAHJA (1) draws to advantage and does have good gate speed to utilise the draw. Made some progress last start up the inside behind Cork Can Run but did have a very soft trip in the race. IMMACHULATE (10) is going better than her numerical form suggests. Has drawn poorly recently. Generally only a horse that does her best work on the rails. RECOVER LOVER (5) hit the line strongly last start in an easier race. Tips: 11 1 10 5 Suggested Bet: UNLUCKY (11) to win. Race 7 GREVIS (7) returns from a spell without a trial. Having been competitive last time in against horses the best 3YOs the state has to offer this race appears his to lose. FLYING COPPA (1) returns from a spell having trialled in reasonable time at Wanneroo. He has gate speed and will likely look for the back of Grevis. SPUDMEISTER (11) closed strongly last start after sitting three back on the pegs in the run. Could secure a soft trip in this race. ROCKABILITY () secured a one out one back trail last start and was finishing strongly late, may have cost himself the race hanging in at a crucial stage. Tips: 7 1 11 8 Suggested Bet: SPUDMEISTER (11) to place. Race 8 DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (8) made mistakes last start when racing from the mobile. Has since trialled and went quite nicely there behind Abundance. SELLUNE (9) has run eleven placings since landing in WA. Continues to be thereabouts without winning. Appears easier than his last outing behind Hold That Gold. TILTHESUNSETS (3) stepped away quickly from the stand last start and just got run over the top of late. Should be better for that effort and has trialled since. QUIGGLEY (5) the former pacer has shown some promise has a trotter. Tips: 8 9 3 5 Suggested Bet: DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (8) to win. Race 9 TWILIGHT TANGO (2) was a good effort last time out when making up ground to challenge her stablemate late. Hasn’t been asked to go forward off the gate yet so gate speed is a slight query. BELLY UP (1) appears to have decent ability, he did plenty wrong on debut. When he paced smoothly he looked to have a bit of speed. Has since trialled well. DAMAGE DONE (3) started outside the back row last time out after a number of trials. Appears to have ability. THE RIZZLER (4) debuted behind Im Massimo and Captain Said So at Pinjarra and was a well beaten 5th. This looks slightly easier. Tips: 2 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: BELLY UP (1) to place. Race 10 OUR SANDY SHORE (1) is the class runner of the field. She draws to advantage and looks extremely hard to beat coming off two trials. TORREVEAN PINKY (2) looks likely to secure an economical run in behind the speed. She’s run second five races in a row and gets an opportunity to make it six in this race. SYNCOPATION (5) closed off well late last start at Bunbury behind Ideal Ivana. Outside of the favourite this looks no tougher. JUST ALL STYLE (4) just battled away last start into fifth after securing a peg-line trip. Looks likely to secure a soft run again. Tips: 1 2 5 4 Suggested Bet: OUR SANDY SHORE (1) & TORREVEAN PINKY (2) quinella. Market Market
