Oli Cownie’s Monday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 29, 2024July 29, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 HOLD THAT GOLD (7) has been extremely consistent since coming to WA. Was a good last start winner following a great drive to nab the one out one back trail. LOVE YOU LUCY (4) was a very impressive debut winner scoring by 11 metres. That race was a stand start, she appears less suited in this mobile race. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (6) battled on well for second behind Nickys Son beating third by a long way. SELLUNE (5) showed gate speed last start to find the leaders back trail. Tips: 7 4 6 5 Suggested Bet: HOLD THAT GOLD (7) Race 2 BETTGETONPIP (2) has impressed in nearly every one of her runs to date. She was forced to do the work last start and tired late. Has good gate speed. QUEEN OF ALL (3) impressive last start second to Captainshavetime who won well last Tuesday. STELLA DELIZIOSA (1) holds the key to the early map in this race. Matched it with Bettergetonpip in the early stages when they recently raced each other. RUBYS ROMANCE (4) I liked the way it attacked the line late in the trial. Looks to have ability. Tips: 2 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: QUEEN OF ALL (3) each way. Race 3 RUBY LOVERA (5) was disappointing last start into fourth after getting a relatively easy lead. Her efforts prior were much better than that happy to forgive the one run. RUBY LOU (6) has great gate speed and crossed a similar field recently to lead all the way. Her last effort was poor but she can bounce back if she finds the rails. JAXS IDEAL (9) has been good this time in with three seconds and a fourth in her last four runs. She’s faced by an awkward draw which could make things tough. SWIFTIE (1) appeared to hit the line well late last start for third. Has the good gate and showed gate speed last start. GELSOMINO AMAL (3) impressed last start running second behind Ruby Lovera. Can go on with it. Tips: 5 6 9 1 Suggested Bet: SWIFTIE to place (1) Race 4 WINTER WONDER (3) was disappointing last start. She did all the work in the race but could only battled on for a distant sixth. REINETTE (4) is a speed horse returning from a spell in this race. BULL SHARK BETTY (9) flashed into second last time out. WICKED LOVER (1) appears to have ability but is still learning to race. Tips: 3 4 9 1 Suggested Bet: BULL SHARK BETTY (9) each way. Race 5 OURLILOU (2) showed gate speed to find the lead early. She was pressured throughout by Make Your Mark and could only just battle on for third. May get it easier here. ARTISTIC SCRIBE (10) was impressive two back when second after working throughout behind Chambray. That was a bit of a theme of the day a few leaders struggling late so BRULEE (8) is a versatile horse. Can be put into the race and looked well graded. TIGER LOU (7) did the work last start and battled on for a good third. Tips: 2 10 8 7 Suggested Bet: ARTISTIC SCRIBE (10) each way. Race 6 MEDIEVAL MAN (6) lead and ran fourth in his last outing in what was a slightly tougher race. He’s won 3 races at the trip and looks well placed in this company. TRIROYALE BRIGADE (1) holds the key to the early map. Has some gate speed but over the longer trip may be driven conservatively. GET YA BETS ON (5) nothing went his way last start at Bunbury when caught wide as soon as they sprinted. NAME IN LIGHTS (2) has had twelve goes at the trip for just two placings. At a likely short quote I’m probably happy to take him on. Tips: 6 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: MEDIEVAL MAN (6) to win. Race 7 TANTABIDDI (1) loomed into it strongly last start behind Gully Gum. Has great gate speed. RASCAL (4) was a good effort last start behind Elwadell. May need to do the work again. CHAMBRAY (10) is racing well and appears likely to secure the run of the race. SISTA SAMMY (6) returns from a spell after two strong second placings. Can go well. Tips: 1 4 10 6 Suggested Bet: TANTABIDDI (1) Race 8 WALSH (11) no luck at all last time out and was extremely impressive there. Tricky draw here complicates things but he’s racing as well as he can. UNLUCKY (1) may live up to her name again here if unable to hold the lead in the early stages. JILLIBY JAKE (7) worked extremely hard last start and wasn’t beaten far. Can be driven aggressively again. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (10) gets the soft draw but doesn’t appear to be racing at his best. Tips: 11 1 7 10 Suggested Bet: WALSH (11) to win. Race 9 STORYTELLER (8) took on much stronger company last race start won by Tabtabiddi. Returns from a spell this looks much easier. ROCKABILITY (7) recent efforts have impressed. Got the right run through late and hit the line strongly last start. SPINNER OF YARNS (5) is proving to be a versatile horse and recent efforts have been good for a race like this. ROCK THE BANK (1) has the good draw if he can lead and sit on the favourite he would be a great place hope. Tips: 8 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: ROCK THE BANK (1) to place. Race 10 IDEAL MUSCLE (8) was dominant last start when powering away with it late. This does appear trickier from the wide gate and hasn’t been seen since early June. JIMMY ROCKS (2) has been racing well and appears to draw ideally in this race now with the scratching he moves into gate one. MAXIMUM ROCK (5) has impressed in recent outings for the Voak stable. He can figure in this race. RAJAH ROCKS (6) generally seems to do his best work racing on the rails which he won’t get the opportunity to do here. Tips: 8 2 5 6 Suggested Bet: JIMMY ROCKS (2) to win. Race 11 PRINCE OF PAIN (1) looks extremely well graded and draws the inside here. Short of bad luck or bad behaviour he looks the winner. JAMIE KIM (2) has been in good form recently scoring not long ago. BUNDEGI BLUE (5) was a good last start winner when doing the work. TRUNKEY CARRAWA (7) was able to lead last start and ran a good race. May need to do work at some stage. Tips: 1 2 5 7 Suggested Bet: JAMIE KIM (2) to place. Race 12 EBEE AVIATOR (5) was very well driven last start to land the one out one back trial and was coming at them late. TORREVEAN PINKY (3) is a consistent place getter. Things didn’t work out for her last start but she can go better here. MIDWIFE CALLING (1) is likely to go around big odds. She’s a horse that needs things to go her way to figure in races but she may get that chance here. CARMELA DOMENICA (4) is racing without much luck. Has gate speed. Tips: 5 3 1 4 Suggested Bet: EBEE AVIATOR (5) to win. Market Market
