Northam 17 February – Greyhounds Preview Posted on February 16, 2016 | Posted by David Shortte PARTY HOTSHOT (Race 5 Number 5): Very fast canine when given room to zoom and career record of 14 wins from 28 starts certainly underlines that. Has run a slashing 29.16 at this circuit and something in that range would see him awfully hard to beat. Always needs a little bit of luck navigating his way through the pack but has a win and a placing from 2 tries from this box and with even luck in running will be steaming home late. On a tough night looks one of the better chances. WHAT ROAD (Race 6 Number 3): Racing in career best form with 3 wins and a 2nd from his last 4 starts. Has been pinging out of the lids and from this draw should sit right on top of the speed throughout. Runs into some handy types here but his recent form is too hard to ignore and with his customary speedy getaway should be right in the finish again. MAZIN FLASH (Race 7 Number 3): Ultra-consistent shortcourse performer who has put together a great record at this track over this distance starting 14 times for 5 wins and 7 placings. Enjoys an inside alley and came from this box 5 starts ago when winning at Mandurah in a slick 17.23. The clear danger looks to be drawn inside in box 2 Diesel Dungey and I think they are likely to run the quinella in this event.
