Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on October 29, 2021October 29, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 29th October 2021 Race 2 – No. 8 Submariner No luck in much tougher FFA company last week when just outside the placings from the opposite side of the draw. Better suited out here where he gets plenty of room to move and should make his presence felt at the finish. Race 8 – No. 3 Gangnam Monelli Tested over this trip a month ago when just behind placegetters in a Mandurah Cup heat from an awkward draw. Will find this slightly easier and is worth strong consideration in his second attempt. Race 9 – No. 3 Speed Bandit Had excuses when resuming from a lengthy spell last week over the unsuitable 302m. The extra journey works in her favour and she will be fitter this time around. Can go one better. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 8 West On Jasper Has shown early toe in the past over the longer 520m and while drawn poorly for his first try at 405m, he could surprise this lot if he pings the lids. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 3.6.7.8 / 2.5.7.8 / 1.5.7 / 1.3.5 $50 for 34.72% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 30th October 2021 Race 1 – No. 6 Global Gold No luck in her only try at the distance when modest away and finding bother once she clicked into gear and was about to let down. Returns to headquarters off the back of two slick wins over 405m and can redeem herself and also get the better of litter sister GLOBAL BLISS (2) at the same time. Race 2 – No. 1 Ghost Raptor Will appreciate drawing the coveted red rug where he can hold the early lead and avoid any trouble on the first turn. If he does so and pinches an early break on his rivals, they will have a hard time running him down. Race 8 – No. 5 Marlou Miss Won a heat of the Dash over 302m in slick time three runs ago but has only managed to beat a one runner home in each of her two starts since. Has a good record here over the trip and if she can handle the squeeze box, she can bounce back to her best. Each Way: Race 7 – No. 1 Salchicha Has butchered the start in all three runs from this draw, making it her “wurst” record from all the boxes she has exited from so far. Minced her latest outing when finishing in midfield but prior to that she sizzled around here with a hat trick of wins. Bumps into a smart one but if the favourites casing bursts at box rise, she could prove too hot to handle. Can salute at juicy odds. Get on the sausage Each Way. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.5.6 / 3.4.5.7.8 / 1.5 / 5.6 $50 for 78.12% Trifecta – Race 2 1.3.7 / 1.3.7 / 1.3.6.7.8 $30 for 166.66% First Four – Race 7 1.5 / 1.2.5 / 1.2.5.7.8 / 1.2.3.5.7.8 $50 for 138.88% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 31st October 2021 Race 6 – No. 3 Little Cavallo Highly impressive when breaking his maiden status on debut over this trip last week, winning by nearly 10 lengths. This field has more depth but a similar effort can see him go back to back. Race 8 – No. 1 Hello I’M Texas Consistent without winning of late, placing in all of his past three over the trip. Times have only need fair but drawn well and if left alone in running, he is capable of being rewarded for his consistency. Race 10 – No. 1 Akali Provided her best effort in a while when leading everywhere but the post last week in a solid 15.99. The improved draw helps and she can go one better this time with another swift jump. Bet Now! Bet Now!
