Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on June 4, 2021June 4, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 4th June 2021 Race 3 – No. 4 Archibald Should find this easier than recent outings against a few of the states best up and coming sprinters. Will appreciate the improved draw to what he had in his only run over this trip and a return to form is more likely than not. Race 6 – No. 2 West On Roger Versatile chaser who resumes from a lengthy spell. Has had three attempts at this distance for the lone placing but his other two outings were against stiffer opposition than this and he could surprise these from the favourable draw while fresh. Race 7 – No. 1 Do You Dig Has the early pace to use the favourable draw to his advantage. A recent FFA placegetter who had no luck last time out and is capable of making amends in easier. Each Way: Race 4 – No. 7 Turbo Fun Had excuses in easier last week from a similar draw when finishing on the heels of the first two in a solid 22.84. Wins have been well-spaced of late but he has Each Way appeal in this line up. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.5 / 2.3.5.7.8 / 1.4.5.8 / 2.4.5 $50 for 27.77% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 5th June 2021 Race 5 – No. 8 Sunset Toxic Has been mixing form since resuming but he is the class runner who can run time. His only two runs in pink were over 490m at Mandurah, placing in each. If he gets around the first bend safely and speedily, he should prove hard to stop from there. Race 6 – No. 8 Sudoku Shelby Has a PB of 29.88 when leading all the way from this very draw in Mid-April. Has failed to salute the judge since but he should find this line up more to his liking and a form reversal looks on the cards. Race 9 – No. 8 Historic Time Will appreciate the rise in trip after midfield finishes over the 520m in two runs back from a spell. It has been a long time between drinks for him but his most recent outing was encouraging and expect him to go much closer here. Each Way: Race 4 – No. 3 Stout Monelli Consistent feature on the podium, only missing the placings in 3 of his 25 starts so far. Can handle the company and is more than capable of upsetting his well-supported kennelmate SUNSET SPITFIRE (7) if the don’t go his way first up. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.8 / 1.3.5.8 / 5.7 / 1.4.5.6 $50 for 52.08% Trifecta – Race 9 2.6.8 / 2.6.8 / 1.2.3.6.8 $30 for 166.66% First Four – Race 4 3.5.7 / 3.5.7 / 1.3.4.5.7 / 1.3.4.5.6.7.8 $50 for 69.44% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 6th June 2021 Race 4 – No. 3 Unit Has ability but has also had his fair share of trouble in recent times. Given time on the sideline to rebuild confidence and can come out all guns blazing from the favourable draw first up. Worth following. Race 5 – No. 6 Impulse Buy Missed the podium for the first time in five starts when rearward throughout in the G2 WA Oaks Final last week. Will relish the easier company. Should be able to bounce back in fine style. Race 6 – No. 6 Who Be You A winner in just 1 of 7 over this trip but has come on leaps and bounds since last being seen over this distance in January, finishing in and around the placings in 13 of 14. Has improved at box rise and should give this a real shake. Bet Now! Bet Now!
