Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview

Race 3 – No. 3 Historic Time
Finishing off his races strongly over the 520m of late. Has solid form over 600m at Cannington and should appreciate the wide open spaces and extra 47m. Strong claims in a handy line up.
Race 9 – No. 3 Marlou Miss
Gave plenty of cheek against stronger opposition over the longer 490m last start when narrowly beaten after leading everywhere but the post. Drops back to her pet distance and can go one better this time.
Race 11 – No. 1 West On True
Slick beginner who is unbeaten in red. Dropping back down in distance and should take plenty of catching.
Each Way:
Race 6 – No. 7 Jaro Bale
First up for almost a month and dropping in distance so may likely need the run but should be hitting the line hard and if things go his way in transit, he could cause an upset. Worth following.
Quaddie (Race 5 to 8):
1.4.6.8 / 2.4.7.8 / 1.3 / 1.3.7 $50 for 52.08%

Race 2 – No. 8 Pixie Monelli
Talented chaser who has raced and beaten much stronger opposition than this. Resuming from a lengthy spell so fitness may be a query but if she still possesses her early zip, they’ll have a hard time running her down.
Race 11 – No. 1 Aston Thunder
Taking on City Company for the first time but has drawn ideally in red and will be in this for a long way. Cannot be overlooked.
Race 12 – No. 8 Owl Jai
A winner in both runs in pink, leading all the way in each. The small field suits and can prove too speedy for these if he finds the early lead.
Each Way:
Race 7 – No. 2 Wise Thunder
No luck second up in WA so best to forget he went around. Prior to that he was a was solid when second throughout to FERNANDO STAR (4) on debut in the state, and can go much closer from the improved draw.
Quaddie (Race 5 to 8):
1.3.6.7.8 / 6 / 2.7 / 1 $50 for 500%
Trifecta – Race 2
8 / 1.2.3.6.7 / 1.2.3.6.7 $ 30 for 150%
First Four – Race 12
8 / 2.5.7 / 1.2.4.5.7 / 1.2.4.5.7 $50 for 1388.88%

Race 1 – No. 2 Fire Fly Ted
Couldn’t be caught when leading all the way from a wide alley, breaking his Maiden status over this trip in 16.22 last week. Has his first inside rug and should not let it go to waste.
Race 6 – No. 3 Landish Boy
form has been up and down of late in tougher but if he finds his best jump, he is more than capable of giving these a run for their money.
Race 8 – No. 6 Moustache
Gave a good sight when second throughout in this company last week, posting a handy 16.02. Has gone quicker in the past and his best work has been from similar draws to this. Can bounce back to his best.
