Race 2 – No. 2  Rippin’ Memphis

Lightning beginner who took a tumble in her only run over this trip so best to overlook the effort. Resumed with an encouraging 3rd over 380m at Cannington on Sunday and will strip fitter for the outing. Strong claims in stripes.

Race 3 – No. 2  Aston Peroni

Had little luck on debut in WA in a Birthday Cup heat when showing early dash from a wide draw to challenge for the lead before copping plenty of interference and losing severe momentum. The inside draw improves his chances and he looks tough to beat this time around.

Race 9 – No. 2  Stanga Moose

Can leave the boxes in a hurry on his night. Recent efforts surrounding an unplaced run in this company have been strong and he can make amends from the favourable alley.

Each Way:

Race 5 – No. 4  Quartararo

Powerful finisher who will be relying on luck in an open field and if the leaders do bunch up and find trouble, he’ll be the one with the momentum at the business end. Knockout chance.

Race 3 – No. 5  More Deductions

Game in defeat at his second run back from a fall when 2nd throughout in a solid 30.03. Has the class edge and can go one better in this.

Race 4 – No. 3  Sir Monty

Showed his was up to the rise in distance when leading all the way in a solid 34.90 last week. This is tougher but the improved draw helps and should take plenty of running down again.

Race 12 – No. 7  Aston Thunder

Never out of bother in his WA debut when well supported so best to forget he went around. May appreciate the wider draw and is still worth following.

Making his 600m debut but has drawn to use his early pace and if finding the front, he will be in this for a long way.

Race 4 – No. 1  Aurora Maya

Making her 302m debut and resuming from a lengthy spell so she may need the run. She has drawn favourably though and does have the early pace to make a fist of it over the short course. Could surprise.

Race 6 – No. 4  Max Flash

Versatile chaser with a strong record over this trip. Winless in both runs in blue but is right down in grade and looks set to turn that around.

Race 8 – No. 7  Butcher Bird

Forget her most recent two outings when finding plenty of bother here over 302m and at Cannington over 380m. Makes her 405m debut and with better luck this time around, she bob up at decent odds.
