Race 5 – No. 4  Santa’s Magic

Unplaced in all of his past 5, including 3 over this trip but they have all been against tougher opposition and should find this company more to his liking. Can prove hold to hold out with the right run in transit.

Race 10 – No. 8  Tandem At Pace

Talented chaser who has been freshened up after finishing just outside the placings in a Chase heat from this draw. Can be risky at box rise but possesses a strong finish and will go mighty close to winning first up.

Race 12 – No. 3  Black Que

Strong chaser who does his best work over longer but he did place in his only outing over the journey in FFA company and drops a long way in grade for this. Can prove too classy at the finish.

Race 2 – No. 2  Myrtle Monelli

Railed underneath early leaders and raced away for a near 5 length victory in a modest 23.02 last week. Has drawn to repeat the dose, albeit in a more open line up this time around but can go on with it now.

Race 3 – No. 4  Redcap Monelli

Got caught up in early traffic from a similar draw last week when tasting defeat as a short priced favourite behind WICKED RHYTHM (7). With improvement at box rise, he should sit a little closer and go one better.

Race 10 – No. 1  Dreaming Of Kuna

Another who can be hit and miss at box rise but the cherry helps her cause over this trip. She did lead all the way from a similar draw two back, posting a smart 21.66. This is tougher but should take catching again if pinging the lids.

Race 11 – No. 4  Jackson County

A model of consistency over 520m, all in this company and tougher. The small field suits and is capable of finishing over the top of his rivals at pace.

Race 8 – No. 6  Burswood Bandit

Had support last start but found bother before taking a tumble so best to forget the outing. Prior to that he was in good form over the shorter 380m and is capable of making amends if his confidence hasn’t taken a hit.

Race 6 – No. 1  Miss Liberty

Making her 520m debut but has drawn favourably and doesn’t face the toughest of opposition. Capable of a forward showing.

Race 9 – No. 4  We The People

Backmarker who was climbing all over the back of rivals when resuming over 490m at Mandurah last week. No further back than 2nd in two runs over this trip and times have been good. Hard to hold out this time.

Race 10 – No. 1  Racing Pulse

A multiple winner from this draw over the journey in the past. While he hasn’t topped the podium for nearly 2 months over varying longer distances, the last time he was seen over the trip resulted in victory. Can recapture his best with a safe exit from the boxes.
