Race 1

HOLD THAT GOLD (5) has been in tremendous form and can use his early gate speed to get himself to the lead and from there he appears to be the one to beat. SELLUNE (1) has learnt how to win and is loving it, he will get the perfect run again and appears to be the main danger here. MARENGO BAY (4) is a hard horse to follow, he has good ability but does things wrong too much to get excited about, his best behaviour puts him in the picture. BEEFOUR BACARDI (6) will be running on soundly, novelty hope.

Suggested Bet: HOLD THAT GOLD/SELLUNE to Quinella.

Race 2

SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (4) is normally a safe beginner and she has been racing in very consistent fashion, she looks a major player again here and will be in the thick of it. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (7) had to do a power of work before cracking and finishing last in her most recent effort, she drops in distance and can be forgiven, likely bounces back to form. BETTY BOOTZ OFF (5) has the ability but trial was just okay and being first up, I’m preferring her for more of a novelty perspective. MAJESTIC MARION (6) better suited to the stands, can improve. BEE BEE BEROC (9) can play a significant part in this race if he steps safely, distance suits. IM GAVOCHE (3) will run a better race back in trip, he’s a place chance at odds.

Suggested Bet: IM GAVOCHE (3) to place.

Race 3

SCOOTER B (7) is a very talented type, he decimated his rivals on WA debut at Bunbury and looks the winner again in this. AMERICAN MAJOR (3) looks to have above average ability and this is a really good test for him, he will be fitter and give them something to chase. CAPTAINS CREEK (6) is second up and we’ll get a good baseline of where he is at as he bumps into some nice ones but on what I’ve seen I thought he was the third pick of the fancies. DOUGS LEGACY (1) is ready to win but looks more of a novelty chance again in this.

Suggested Bet: SCOOTER B (7) to win.

Race 4

ROCKIN LE MONDE (8) has been racing in stronger versions of the lightning lap recently and has been gutsy in defeat on his last two occasions, he can bounce back into the winners list here. SPINNER OF YARNS (6) was solid last time out after doing all the work and he is racing well, keep him safe here. STRAYLYA (4) is fitter through the preparation and does normally perform well at this trip, I am expecting him to run a bold race here at odds. ERA (7) needs to be close to the speed and GHOSTWRITER (5) has the ability to improve.

Suggested Bet: STRAYLYA (4) each way.

Race 5

FREYJA (1) returned with a bold effort and has a lovely draw to work with as well an addition to race fitness, she has good speed and looks the likely leader and hardest to beat here. ZARA TINDALL (8) has the perfect draw to suit her racing style, she just needs a bit of pressure on the leader, and she will have the last crack and can win. OUR LADY JEN (6) rarely runs a bad race but from the wide draw looks more of a novelty player here. ALTA ALLURE (4) can run well on return and BRULEE (5) is fitter and can go strongly.

Tips: 1 8 6 4

Suggested Bet: FREYJA/ZARA TINDALL to quinella.

Race 6

BLAZING REACTOR (9) gets the start and has been racing in top class form, he has plenty of high speed and with the draw advantage over his main rival I am expecting him to go well. SOHO SKYFALL (10) looks set to run a big race, seems to have found his niche with shorter course racing and he will be threatening again. SECRET REACTION (7) is going well and has the speed to potentially lead and could be cheeky. TORREVEAN AMY (3) and OUR VINNIE (5) look next best.

Tips: 9 10 7 3

Suggested Bet: BLAZING REACTOR (9) to win.

Race 7 

RODASI (9) will have to overcome the 30m over the short course stand, but he has good depth in a race that could be lacking in overall depth, I am expecting him to catch the field and be put into it and be very hard to beat. YOUR GRACE (1) has the handicap advantage and can run a bold race here. TIGER LOU (8) has caught my eye recently with not much luck, could run well here. MINOR CATASTROPHE (6) has had her chances, looks more of a novelty chance in this.

Tips: 9 8 1 6

Suggested Bet: RODASI (9) to win.

Race 8

Open race here. ITS JUSTA SHOTAWAY (4) has been racing in stronger fields and looks well suited here and thought he could run a bold race. LADY DELA HOYA (6) looks a nice type on return and can run well here on return. DISPATCHER (5) will get a cozy run just in behind them and will be hitting the line strongly. GALVISTON JOHN (2) looks the likely leader and will give them something to chase.

Tips: 4 6 5 2

Suggested Bet: DISPATCHER (5) each way.

Race 9

MAXIMUM ROCK (10) was brilliant in his victory last time out, he is a versatile type and can overcome the tricky draw and make it back to back victories here. JIMMY ROCKS (7) will have to do the work again but he is a bold type and looks ready to win again. KURIOUS BOY (6) has elevated recently and can do some work and be in the thick of it. LADY CAMEL (1), I CROSS MY HEART (2), IDEAL INTEREST (5) and ROCK ROSIE ROCK (8) are all novelty chances in a deep race.

Tips: 10 7 6 8

Suggested Bet: MAXIMUM ROCK (10) to win.
