Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 6, 2023September 6, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 5 No. 1 Pea Pettigrew Boxed to shake the life out of this. Went well last week overcoming multiple checks to run 3rd and the box keeps him closer this time. Strong home and can land the knockout blow here off the perfect draw. Race 6 No. 7 Squeeze Li Last chance. Has to step here and get up there early and will be hard to stop if she does. Doesn’t get much easier for her here and while the box isn’t her preferred, she can offset with a spear out. Must produce this time. Race 7 No. 7 Electric Data and No. 8 Snoods Crumbs Old mate in 7 to be forgiven for last time when spat out the back trying to punch through. Much harder that time as well and can go close in this. The 8 will show speed and he was good last week at a price after a string of Northam runs. Look for him to get there early and stick on. Both dogs leading hopes. Race 8 No. 7 Storm Alert Comes off a brief let up and while his form prior wasnt inspiring, he is better than that and can show something here. Has raced far tougher opposition in his short career and worth a top two play in this off a draw he can handle. Race 9 No. 7 West On Boonie and No. 4 Anasazi Monelli The 7 just wins this. Will be short and drops back from the 600 which is perfect. They can’t stop him unless he finds trouble. He can from time to time so save top two on the 4. She will get up there again and she’s getting closer. She’s ready now and won’t stop fining the line. Fav looks the one however. Race 10 No. 2 Dashing Onyx Start critical. Back to Cannington a plus and can do better than his disappointing effort at Northam when he stepped yet showed no zest to the first turn. Can go better here and gets one last go to lead all the way in this moderate affair. Race 11 No. 8 Hello Wayne and No. 4 Whiskey On Rocks Two hopes only here on clear running. The 8 will relish being out there. Winds up very strongly out wide and is awfully hard to stop in the run home. If he was to make an error, the 4 will fence ride her way to victory. Strong dog who keeps finding the line and will get a lovely run here. Should fight it out here. Market Market
