Harry Buchanan’s Tuesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 22, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 5 No. 6 Squeeze Li and No. 4 Dozen Staples The 6 should have won last week over the 275m trip. Caught behind a few dogs then had to switch over heels to make a late charge to just miss. Just needs a good step here to figure up the back and go close at good odds. The 4 went well last week when she ran into it quickly but found traffic while the winner swept away. Could again sneak into this up the back and strong home as usual. Place heavy play there. Race 6 No. 1 Cash Monelli and No. 8 Voodoo Dolly The 1 has the draw to launch along the fence here and if he can find the top going into the back. His run last week suggests he’s ready and he’s drawn to lead all the way with a clean step. The 8 is well boxed again and will make a fast run to sweep around. Keeps it going and can hit the frame at a price. The red hard to stop here however. Race 7 No. 6 Blessed Doll The stayer dropping back to the sprint and she’s done it with success in the past. A few speed dogs in this who will struggle at the end and that’s where she runs past a few and gets into the finish. Place heavy go for her here but don’t be surprised if she wins if she’s close enough. Race 8 No. 4 Celestial Gas Huge quote for her here. Doesn’t usually step and that’s what needs to happen here. Drops to the fence when the 3 ducks off and she can run into it strongly up the back. Keeps it going and absolutely worth an EW ticket. Race 9 No. 8 All Over Kite First crack at 500 and needs to step and cross here to have any hope. Fast when she gets the arm and while there is a question over the trip, she gives every indication she will run it well if she lands on the arm. Top 2 spec if that happens and start critical. Double figure shot who can give a sight. Race 11 No. 2 Whiskey On Rocks Barnstorming victory last time over the short trip and even better suited here. Boxed perfectly and map pans out beautifully here. Tracks up 1 and 3 and she is far superior in strength on the way home and will be very hard to hold out late. Betting EW odds and place heavy at the very least. Can win. Race 12 No. 1 Blackwood Blue This is his chance now. Been stepping well but boxes have been sorting him out. Can hold up this time and if he skips into the back on the arm, he will take more catching than most think. Just needs to get the start spot on again and he can give a sight. Big show. Market Market
