Harry Buchanan’s Sunday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 11, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 5 Bazinga Girl She’s not a winning machine by any stretch but her Northam efforts have been enough to see her at a price here. Can she dash when she steps and this is far from difficult for her. Can do something if she offsets this draw. Small EW spec. Race 2 No. 4 Finloch Fernando and No. 2 Madison Keys A fair but hinges on which reserve gets the start here. The 4 will get a nice run here if the 3 steps the way he can and cart in. He could muster up and go all the way then. However if the 9 gets a start he is also a crasher and could do damage. That leaves the 2 to give a sight. She too needs to miss the 3 but one of these two dogs will be the recipient of whatever Son Of Bamsy does at box rise. Race 5 No. 7 Sheriffs Way and No. 1 Unleashed Buffy The 7 was good last week but she throws it away by racing too wide over this short trip. Looking for her to lead again and hopefully this time she finds herself closer in if she is left alone. The 1 will drive up here and she can surprise if she also gets the arm solo. That’s her best chance to run low 16 which will win this. Race 8 No. 6 Bazinga Boy and No. 5 Litchfield The 6 was outstanding at Northam for a dog who likes the arm quickly. Just kept on coming after getting up there and mowing the leader down. This is no harder and can repeat. The 5 wins if it gets a look up the back and is close. Very strong and raced better dogs than this lately. Will be running into into it if she is close turning. Race 9 No. 7 Butterfly Ali and No. 9 Roll With It There are two scenarios here. If the 9 doesn’t get the start, this 7 can run a huge race. She could spear over here lead throughout at a big quote. If the 9 starts, that makes her job much more difficult and he becomes the one to beat. He’s the best dog in the race and can return to his best here. If he leads, it’s over. If he doesn’t run, then it’s the 7 for a go. Race 10 No. 3 Ice King Another at a silly price here. Start everything but he has been stepping and could lead these. Couldn’t quite find the arm last week but this is easier and will go sub 22 if he comes out running and that would go very close. Big price for a dog who can do that. Race 11 No. 7 Who’s Got Cruz and No. 8 Space Station Smokie plays here. The 7 isn’t hopeless and is slowly getting back to his best. If he can navigate an early passage into a spot then he can figure here at big odds. The 8 wins if he wants to. Box isn’t great but can do anything when he comes out running. If he offsets the draw, he can deliver a knockout blow. SANDOWN PARK Race 7 No. 1 Majestic Jay Finally gets the red and the grade. Will muster up and look for a spot first turn where he is very hard to get past. Has raced better dogs than this and has super record here. Gets his chance now. Race 8 No. 3 Minter Frost Unbeaten track and trip from 4 goes. Has gone fast time here and he can step and find the top early in this. Ran super in a hard race last time at the Meadows and a return to Sandown will see his best. Looks the one. Market Market
