Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on January 13, 2024January 13, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 5 Bomb Murt Was about to take the run last week which would have put him into a striking spot but it closed last second. Will get over to the fence and he works through the gears well and can hit the frame at odds. Race 4 No. 2 Ethanol Water and No. 8 Mepunga Reward Great race this. The 2 is highly promising and she finally got a box last start and showed what she’s got and she’s got plenty. Can repeat. The 8 also has a huge motor and is unbeaten. Has a monster gear change up the back and will be charging late. Race 5 No. 2 Binny Doo Looks his race. Strong performer who is better than these and well drawn to sit up there and put them away late. Should get the business done. Race 6 No. 5 Xile Bale and No. 4 Orli Bale The 5 is racing as well as ever and can reel off race winning sections when he gets clear runs. Gets over behind them here and takes a first turn run. He’s very good at that. Can figure. The 4 is airborne as well. Can lead or come from behind and puts the foot down up the back to set up the wins. Threat again. Race 8 No. 7 Fabs Vegetable and No. 8 Camp Fire The 7 is so well placed here. Dropping back from the middle trips, he gets a cart over here and his strength at the end has seen him make a Melb cup final. The 8 continues to get better and better and while he is awkward, he is very talented and can run into this strongly with the small field. Keep safe. Race 9 No. 5 Rachel’s Tears and No. 6 Rhino Bale The 5 has been spearing out but she keeps finding trouble with her lack of speed to the first turn over this trip. This is easier and she might just hold the front here. That would see her hard to stop then. The 6 is a middle trip type who gets home well. Will play for luck but he’s got the big run home that these won’t hold off if he’s close. Each way for him. Race 10 No. 5 Raven Parrot This is her chance. She just needs to go with the 6 early and she can present with the stronger last section. No luck lately and continues to draw poorly but she’s got ability and just needs room to operate. If she gets through the pen trouble free she will be in the finish. Race 11 No. 2 Whodat Shanlyn and No. 3 Scott Me If you didn’t see the run of the 2 last week, it’s worth the look. Shes incredibly talented and has a monster motor that is getting bigger and stronger. She will take all sorts of stopping after what she did last week. The 3 will rail home hard here again. Came out of the same race as the 2 and stuck on well. He often does when he draws in and will give a sight again here. WENTWORTH PARK Race 4 No. 3 Zoha Bale Staying star who will be ready for this after the drubbing he gave them last start. He beat a subsequent winner at Sandown and they will know his presence is there up the back. Very hard to stop here. Race 6 No. 7 Zipping Remus Draw tricky but plenty of talent and just needs little early luck here. An 8 time winner around this circuit and was far from disgraced in QLD. Will look to start his run up the back and can run a great race back home. Race 8 No. 1 Crackerjack Boom Draws his box. Can step and when he shows speed, he is very hard to get past. Has won 2 from 3 here and will be easy for this assignment and give his backers a huge sight. Market Market
