Harry Buchanan’s Saturday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on January 6, 2024January 6, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 4 Drifter His map doesn’t look too bad here with slows either side early. Been running well without winning and can land much closer this time which makes him a big threat with his solid work home. Gets his chance on the each way at least. Race 4 No. 6 Warm Regards and No. 4 Ballistic Ant The 6 is going super. Great effort behind Couch Surfer last week and while the box isn’t ideal, she does get back anyway. Will look for runs and keep coming. The 4 might find the top here and she is very hard to get past when she’s got a solo arm. Also coming off a very fast trial at Mandurah last Saturday so will be sparked up for this and could give a sneaky sight at odds if she steps. Race 5 No. 6 Penny Magic and No. 4 Flashing Kuna The 6 was stubborn in her heat effort last week when not laying down and holding 2nd behind a good winner. She could spear over here and be a leading force throughout at a price. The 4 is enigmatic but when she turns up she can mix it with most these if not all. The first 50m will determine her outcome and she will be a quote to boot. Each way spec on her. Race 8 No. 7 Miss Ronnie Mac and No. 6 Blessed Doll The 7 was superb last week off a short let up. Gets easier company here and will derive a stack of benefit from that run. Can lead all the way with her usual good step. The 6 has come back lovely for Aaron Brown. Fastest run home in a touch race last week and while one more 520m would have been nice, she will let these know she’s there. Race 10 No. 4 Storm Alert Our boy taking the step up to 600m here. Weather he gets it or not is the only question for victory. Hes the best dog in the race, just needs to be strongest home. Give indications he will get it. Trust needed first up but he will go well. Race 12 No. 1 Fabs Max Potato The spud gets his very last go here. No more chances if he squanders this draw again. It’s not his absolute plumb box but his map is good if he steps and he might just use it here. Will be a price and should be but can stun. Has to do it here. THE MEADOWS Race 2 No. 6 Bomb Murt Progressive type who works into his races well. This easier than recent efforts and box his only issue here. If he’s close up the back he will hit the frame on the each way. Race 3 No. 7 Mrs Avenger and No. 8 Renegade Ruslie The 7 was enormous winning her heat. Has come of age as a middle distance/staying type and puts these to the sword if she gets off box 7. The 8 is hot and cold and makes several runs in a race. Wearing the blinkers tells you why but she can hit the frame at odds and is worth a place spec at least. Race 5 No. 4 Rachel’s Tears Disappointed last week but getting another go here. She steps fast but lacks a little dash only to get back into her work late. Might sit closer this time and will be hard to stop if she does. One more go. Race 6 No. 1 Navarino Big run last time when having no luck and launching home. If he can step and hold up form the box, he will take no end of stopping here. It’s only the first little bit he has to navigate to put himself in a striking spot. Goes well if he does. Race 7 No. 6 Irish Millie She goes better here than Sandown for mine. Needs to get up there early as she doesn’t seem to come on from too far back. When she can see the arm she can reel off big sections so relying on that in this field. Each way prospect. Race 12 No. 7 Whodat Shanlyn and No. 8 Scott Me Big motor on the 7. Small field suits and if he can work up close into the back he will be very hard to stop in this. The 8 can also run a cheeky race. Sticks on strongly and saves his best for this circuit. Small field aids him as well and can hit top two. Market Market
