Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on June 19, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 4 No. 6 Over Zealous and No. 4 Sunset Daphne Who stays wins? Another of these long trips here at Northam and a few questions going on. The 6 rarely wins but she has raced well here her only 700 go and she can stay. She should go close unless one of the newbies to the stamina scene actually have some. The 4 just may. She has a little tactical speed but one bats late in her races so she could in fact go ok here if she doesn’t stop. Spec her in case. Race 5 No. 8 Apollo Fun This is his race. Not his box but that won’t matter if he packs his early speed in his kit bag this week. Races far better dogs than this and can waltz over with ease if he steps. If he crosses the rest can enjoy silver because that’s what awaits them if the is bloke finds the arm. Race 6 No. 1 Watanabe Ignore his form. Don’t ignore the box here. That could be the difference as he hasn’t drawn one for an age. Another who has been racing dogs that would stroll in here and he only has to step and show some of that dash he has hidden away for special occasions like drawing box 1. This is his chance. Race 8 No. 4 Rona’s Rocket Super effort last week when the leader had a bit of luck and got away. This girl missed the start but railed up to run on well and post 2nd and she is better than that again. Can step and lead when she’s on and goes well around here every time. Can hit top 2 again. Race 9 No. 4 Floki’s Revenge We need a pipe smoker in this and this bloke will find the fence and light the old trumpet up while he waits for these early-splitters to sort out their issues with the arm and each other. That’s when he starts his run and sustains it home and if he’s chasing the right dog here, he can mow it down. At least holds top 2 if one of the time runners get away. Strong late. Race 10 No. 5 My Dream Speaking of strong late, she was excellent last week when letting it all unfold before spoiling the party the leaders were having up front. Descended as expected and while this is slightly harder, she will hit the line while a few go backwards late. Places heavy go this week. Race 12 No. 6 Something Fun Don’t be surprised if she hops out here and spears on to the arm. Showing speed over the 500 against much harder opponents and the drop back here ideal. Doesn’t win a lot but she has been thrown in a race where she could strike up her next win with clean getaway here. Market Market
