Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on October 30, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 2 No. 1 Runs On Gas Outstanding win last week when missing it but storming through the field to descend on them hard to score. Better draw this time and a better step will see him very hard to stop again. Race 3 No. 1 Ninja Fun and No. 6 Hello I’m Kit The 1 will use her usual good box manners and early speed to hold the arm here. She’s hard to get past when she gets the lure to herself. The 6 could weave through from the back here with a few of these not happy when they can’t lead. Late place hope and small win save. Race 5 No. 3 Barossa Rose and No. 6 Piper Spolly The 3 has her draw here and will muster up to spot where she can be poised to strike. Will be hard to hold out with clear running. The 6 gets one last chance to lead and that’s where she does her best. Her best also wins this. Must lead though. Last go for her. Race 6 No. 7 Smirch Birch and No. 3 Unlimited Gas If the 7 brings his best, this is over. Has the early speed when he steps to burn these off and not be caught. If he doesn’t, the obvious threat will come from the 3. He can come from anywhere and will charge through the turn and thunder home late. They should fight it out. Race 9 No. 6 Miss Valentine and No. 4 Sassy Blade The jury is out on the 6 after last Thursday. She had her chance when the 8 put the brakes on but hard to tell if she clipped off it too. Going to give her one more go to find the arm. The Sass in 4 resuming from a let up. She’s a gem. Doesn’t win many but this is her track now and she will just keep running on. A price is what greets us most days so place heavy again. Race 10 No. 7 Fortified Mack and No. 6 Mohican Mistress The final and we will get a price again about the 7 here. When I say price, I mean any replica of last weeks market insult makes her a bet again. Unbeaten here after 4 starts and will come from anywhere and keep coming at that. Clear run and she’s a huge threat. The 6 will begin well again and she could sneak away with any first turn trouble. Stuck on well last week and could give a sight. The 1 will be short but unless he finds some hidden box manners, he will have to rely on a first turn fence run. Very good dog but the 7 is just as good. Race 11 No. 7 My Dream Gets back but these aren’t strong and she will start her run up the back to run into this late. Goes well here and look for her on a place heavy basis to take us out.
