The 1 all bit caused the boil over for us last week in the heat at $91. Last out before making his customary back straight sectional burst to sustain a great run home and just fall short. This is now his 3rd run here and he is ready to strike. Going super and just needs to step a little better and hold a forward spot under the 2. Can hit the podium at least. The 5 is a huge show and is racing superbly for Damian Crudeli. Draw isn’t that bad and will spear out again and look to go up for the arm. Needs to hold up under the 7 early but can be a factor if he’s close again and gets the save EW. Race 7 No. 2 Impress Ledecky She looks ready here and her form has actually been quite good. Has competed against better dogs and is a 3 time winner track and trip. Settles close and she’s a great EW play here. Race 8 No. 7 Teenage Rampage Must miss the start here and the way he does most weeks, it shouldn’t be a problem. Straight over to the fence and wait for one almighty gap to present into the back with the plethora of wide runners and he can then take the fence runs he’s accustomed to. It would be a bad night to find box manners but it’s also been a while since he has stepped. Can run into it late. Race 11 No. 8 Sozins Azzuri Total opposite to the previous selection. This bloke must come out running on skates. He can do just that as he’s shown many time at Mandurah. Still sorting the lure out here but if he nails it, he spears over and becomes very hard to catch at odds. Gets his chance. BALLARAT Race 3 No. 4 Rollin’ Free Progressive and promising staying type who will enjoy the small field even though it’s a step up in class. Was dominant late last time and can bring her time down again to hit top 2 here in the end. Good show here. Race 8 No. 5 Shima Shadow and No. 8 Shima Dream The 2023 Ballarat Cup. These two litter and kennel mates are hugely promising and will undoubtedly make the grade. Heat runs enormous and both dogs ran into to proven top liners with the 5 running over Unleash Collinda and the 8 just missing behind Quinlan Bale both in fast time. Similar profiles and while the 5 is the slightly better dog at this stage, he has the tricky box. Both can figure however and go very close here. Market Market
