Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets

MANDURAH

Race 1 No. 8 Charlie’s Harley and No. 1 Go Seek Arianna

Looking for him to spear down to the first turn here and take over quickly. That’s his best chance and he is usually a reliable and fast box dog. Should be hard to beat if he leads. Keep an eye on the 1 resuming. Class runner with great box 1 record.

Race 2 No. 6 All Grunt and No. 4 Taming The Tiger

The 6 will be a price here and while he lacks a little dash, this could get messy and that will see him work home hard to hit the frame. The 4 will show her good pace and look for the arm again. She is hard to reel in and will be so again should she get away here solo. Consistent and will go well.

Race 3 No. 2 Xylan Bale

This is his chance. Had a look last week at the track and trip and while he had no luck, he went ok. Will improve a minute here and is boxed to get the great run first turn and land closer than usual. Hard to hold out.

Race 4 No. 7 Another James and No. 8 Mind Reader

Giving the 7 another chance over this trip which means he will need to step and cross quickly and get away. Promising and trip the only concern. The 8 will be a smokies hope. Runs on well when given room to operate and gets that here. Small EW spec only however.

Race 5 No. 2 Hopeland

Gets a great map here and will get every chance to land close or lead. Can run good time when she does and goes well around here. Just needs to hold her spot to the first turn. Winner only start track and trip.

Race 6 No. 5 Go Seek Katoni and No. 1 Our Benson

The 5 has a touch of class here and with his good early speed, he will be up there from the get go. Has run some great races track and trip. Can win. The 1 was excellent off this box last week and a repeat will see him go close. Handles the inside perfectly and gets his shot to win again.

Race 7 No. 6 Rare Speed

While the box isn’t great, the map might not be too bad here. A very wide runner outside and fence crasher inside with speed will see her get a good run to the turn. Rarely misses the frame here and will give a sight at EW odds.

Race 8 No. 7 Hinto and No. 5 Coulter Bale

No awards for finding the 7 here. His best will decimate these and he should be winning but too short to back. The 5 could offer something with the step up in distance. Had a look over the 400 last week and will relish this distance. Strong home here.

Race 9 No. 2 Examiner

Starting to put it all together now. Only missed a place once from 6 starts here over the trip and will again look to lead throughout. Won well here two starts back before going to Cannington. Back where he does his best work and hard to stop now.
