Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 8, 2023September 8, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 3 No. 6 Curium and No. 5 Silly Old Bear The 6 wants in but she is stepping well and is a chance to spear over here and lead all the way. If the 5 doesn’t collect her, he will also punch up and be a threat in the run home. Both solid shows with different profiles. Race 4 No. 3 Mad Steel and No. 4 Reed Time The 3 has to get his chance here. Has been a victim of the draw last two and while he is wearing punters patience out, there are zero excuses here. The 4 will do her usual from the back and descend late and will get a place heavy spec save. She’s not hopeless. Race 6 No. 6 Ultimate Command Racing at his best ever here. Can step and get there and even off the arm, he just keeps on coming. Chasing his heart out presently and represents a good top two play at generous odds. Race 7 No. 4 Trevor’s Gift Steps up to the middle trip and needs to show something now. Can get on the arm here and her Vic form says the distance won’t worry her. Not the easiest race but she’s also not easy to run down when she leads. Trust needed but worth a small spec EW. Race 8 No. 7 Kingshott Flattened last week and never in it. Forget he even went around. Draw again no help but he is one of few who can come on from the back. Early work needs to be on song to miss the 8 but he can run a race here. EW go this time. Race 9 No. 8 Riley Keeping First go at the short trip and with the fence-crashers in this, will get every chance to muster up early and get there to be hard to catch. Needs a lot to go right in his races and can’t take pressure but has speed and will be impossible to run down on the arm if he can get it. Race 10 No. 7 Barefoot Wah Wah and No. 6 Brontë Blazer The 7 is a silly quote here. Don’t be stunned if she just rushed straight around and finds the top into the back. Will be very hard to get from there if she does. The 6 would be well drawn without the 7 outside her but she could step which she does every few starts or so. Another who needs the arm or she doesn’t come on but runs the time on the lure to win. Race 11 No. 5 Notorious Harada and No. 7 Agent Eleven The 5 was desperately unlucky last week when all but leading before being checked out of it. Still stuck on well and she could spear out here and lead all the way. The 7 will come over quickly with her and she can run time when she gets clear air. Can also come from off the arm and run a race. They both look to lead into the back and whichever holds the arm will win. Market Market
