Harry Buchanan’s Friday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on August 18, 2023August 19, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 4 You’re Busted Does more thinking than Albert Einstein but when he sets his mind to the job at hand, he can run time. Wears the blinkers and will be in the mix if he doesn’t lead so an EW play is worth a crack. If he steps and leads, they won’t get him. Start decides his finishing position. Race 3 No. 1 Miss Condaleeza and No. 8 Silly Old Bear The 1 was unlucky last week when brick walled at the first turn and spat out. Move to box 1 perfect and she can muster up here and hold. Hard to catch if she does and gets more space than a double garage here with the scratchings. The 8 will also rush down the outside and he went last time also. Could cross here and that would see him equally hard to catch. The red looks a huge show however. Race 6 No. 4 Launch Control Map again sets up for him with speed inside and he can be first on scene when the fence run comes into the back. Needs to get interested earlier but will be strongest on the run home. EW price and place heavy play here. Race 8 No. 8 Comet Bay Katie She has one chance and one chance only. A spear out and dart around to lead. Can’t win from back and needs the arm instantly here. Steps quickly and can use the dogs inside her to get the space to zip around and take up the running. Will take some catching if she takes the arm solo up the back. All or nothing at box rise. Race 9 No. 1 Mohican Mistress and No. 2 Cool Myra The 1 gets a great map here and she has a super box 1 record. Just has to hold a spot when the 2 comes out and stays up and the 3 will do the rest when she goes wide into the back. Strong home the red. The 2 was superb for us last week when spearing out and leading all the way. A repeat won’t surprise and will get it done again if she replicates that. Race 10 No. 2 My Dream Spec play here. The red looks a strong hope to just win but the 2 could run 2nd here with questions over the remainder of the field. Will keep coming and the closer she lands the better her chances are of putting some space between her and the field for 3rd. Top 2 spec with small win and heavier place. Race 11 No. 3 Opie Monelli and No. 2 Carrie Heffernan The 3 gets every chance to find a closer slot up the back here. Been getting too far back off tricky draws and will get room this time to run into it. The 2 also get a dream map with the red going fast and giving her a clean look and she is racing super and a deserved fav here. Both 2 and 3 can get the right passages to figure in the finish here. Race 12 No. 2 Dr Jimmy He can do something here. Been racing fair opposition and gets a good draw now. His last two have been ok off the wide draws and he has led all the way previous after a few runs in WA. Start important for him as he needs to be up there but will take some catching if he leads here. Big EW show. Market Market
