Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips Posted on September 24, 2022September 24, 2022 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 1 No. 1 West On Jilliby Still a maiden after 21 starts but gets her chance after her last effort showed she is ready. Not well boxed but clearly the strong dog here who can descend late and hit the podium. Race 2 No. 5 Bionic Polly How many chances are too many? She is more than capable of doing something here but that’s most weeks to be fair. She keeps finding trouble but if she gets clear running she can give a sight at odds here. Race 3 No. 4 Sunset Givenchy Very good dog and only has to land close here. Got too far back last week before making late ground again. Can show up earlier this week and if he’s within striking distance he can launch late. Top 2 bird. Race 4 No. 3 West On Finn and No. 8 Jimmy’s Decision WA bred final. Looking for the 3 to go fast again this week and hold the arm this time. Much harder to beat if he does. No luck last week when all but crossing. The 8 will rocket home again and perfectly drawn. Massive last section and will descend late. Race 8 No. 2 Bad Desire and No. 8 Refund Tux Tricky affair. The 2 is a sneaky hope and is not to be ignored here. Sticks on better than most think over this trip and drawn to run a sneaky race. The 8 should have won last time at Mandurah. Goes well here too and will look ominous through the middle and late sections. Race 9 No. 2 Bill Monelli Returned to his best last time and can repeat here if the middle dogs can hold up this fav early. That’s the key here. He can then take the fence into the back and be hard to stop from there. Just doesn’t want to be chasing the 8 but can win if that dog finds strife. Race 10 No. 7 Soul’s Glory Looks his race. Big drop in class and small field plays right into his hands. Will sweep around and look to round them up as he does. Will take all sorts of stopping here at his best. Should be getting the job done. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 3 Trenzalore Recent kennel change a big plus and wasn’t that bad last start when unable to get into it cleanly up the back. Can land closer and has a big run home when momentum is up. Don’t dismiss at the odds. EW player. Race 4 No. 4 Hummock Has had a let up but no doubting his ability and only has to secure clear running to give these plenty to think about. Can lead or come from back and only his fitness levels are a slight concern. Best dog who can run time. Race 5 No. 1 Tobin Frost Continues to put in monster runs each week and again boxed to shake the life out of this. Has a paralysing middle and last section and will be unstoppable here if he is sweating on these turning. Huge podium show. Race 8 No. 7 Indy Fido Walked out badly last week then met check upon check. Never given a chance and is much better than that. Will dive over to the fence and make is customary back straight run that he sustains. Can hit top 2. Race 9 No. 8 Reiko Oreo Simply didn’t run 600m last time he was here. This is box and this is his trip. Will wind up very very strongly and won’t be held out if he is close up the back. Shouldn’t miss the podium. Great chance. WENTWORTH PARK Race 2 No. 5 Palawa King Highly promising youngster who will turn out to be a good middle distance type at the very least. Again put through the outside fence last week in his heat and recovered to place in a huge performance. He’s a price but far from hopeless. Watch out if he gets a clear run. Place heavy. Race 4 No. 5 Zipping Orlando and No. 3 Fat Boy’s Charm Had the 5 drawn a box it would have been the bet of the century. Can run anything!!! Only has to offset the box to win. Better than these and he’s a very fast dog. The 3 is going super and can surprise here. Can lead or come from back and will be prominent throughout. EW save there for him. Race 6 No. 4 Tradie’s Mate and No. 5 Highland Wonder Couple of strong types. The 4 gets back and wide but the full field and possible trouble up front plays to his strengths. Look for him to descend late and wide. The 5 is a stayer and he too will benefit from bustling leaders and can drop on these like he did a few starts back. Can sprint well also. Race 7 No. 7 Providence Bale Masters Meteor final. Superb win by the 7 in his heat when he didn’t look entirely comfortable at his first look here. Can improve immensely and is capable of spearing over here and putting these to the sword. Still racing as well as ever and monster chance if he nails the jump this time. Race 9 No. 3 Here Comes Buddy The MDC consolation. The 3 is the smoky here and he was quite good last week. Gets the draw to offer a repeat performance and can run a race at odds. Here is our runner by runner for the Group 2 Sydney Cup and The Million Dollar Chase Race 8 – The Sydney Cup Box 1 – Super Estrella The shining star of a one dog show!!! Premier stayer and track record holder who is simply boxed to waltz around and take the cup home with little trouble. Only one danger on the clock but we will get to him soon. She really should just win and show why she is the best NSW have by panels. Box 2 – Oh Oh Range Quality stayer but lacks that knockout blow over the last section, especially when he’s not on the arm. Will do all he can to try and go with Estrella early and cross her but would need an extra rocket for that to happen. Will make her work early but will be found out after she steps up a notch. Tries hard but will need luck to win. Box 3 – Believe So The smokie and massive run on component. This bloke CAN STAY!! He can’t beat the fav but he has a big booming run home over this trip which was on show last week when getting past some more fancied rivals to run 2nd. Getting better each start, he can hit the podium at any old price here and will be storming late. Box 4 – Gypsy Wyong Has been racing well and with success but still looks to be a level below what she is capable of these days. Beaten a long way in her heat, she is not as consistent as she once was but with the right run, she can give a placings sight. Prefer to leave however in this field. Box 5 – Cawbourne Magic Ultra consistent and knows this place backwards. Another super run in his heat and only just missed on the line. Can settle forward and while the fav has him covered on the clock, he can stick on to hit the podium. Box 6 – Ariarne Bale Jury still out on weather she stays a genuine 700 or weather the middle trip is more her go. Desperate for the fence and only had the one look here, she will need to find a stack to bother the exotic numbers here. Talented but prefer to see. Box 7 – Zipping Kansas Look up enigma in the dictionary and there is a big picture of this bloke staring back at you. No doubting there are two of him. He can do anything or nothing at all. It all depends on his first 100m and while he is stepping better these days, there is far too much risk involved with this bloke when you have a dog in box 1 who rarely makes an error. Can win but needs every star to align, especially at box rise. It’s a no from me for this dog but that doesn’t mean he can’t win. You need a lot of trust. Box 8 – Zipping Virginia Shocked with a surprise win at odds last week when just holding out Cawbourne Magic. Box has done her no favours here and a repeat would stun. Will need some serious trouble in front for her to figure this time but she will be trying hard. Selections: 1,3,5 Bets: 1-3,5,7- field in the trifecta No. 3 Believe So (place heavy) The Million Dollar Chase Final Box 1 – McInerney Superb competitor who has yet to run a bad race here. Ultra consistent and has a nice turn of foot after box rise and can run time. Won the easiest semi but I would actually prefer him drawn off the track here at WP even though he has a good record off the inside. He will be crossed early so will have to navigate a passage after that but he is capable of doing just that. Chance. Box 2 – He’s On Fire No it’s not millennium Falcon going into hyper space when the lids go up. It’s this bloke. The most explosive and reliable beginner in training. Off and gone before the others realise it’s time to go. Finding more and more each time and was enormous last week holding off a star line up. If there is one place to be in a big race, it’s on the arm. That’s where this bloke will be. Can shock these and win the MDC. Box 3 – Zipping Kyrgios The King of WP returned to his brilliant best here last week in a fast 29.49. Has won 14 times here and can unleash a sustained run home that few can hold off. Would be a fitting result if he was to take this out and he is always a threat no matter the draw. If they give him room, they will know he’s there. Might get too far back here for mine and prefer to leave at this stage but he won’t be far away. Box 4 – Agland Luai Ran the race of his life in his semi to hold off some very good dogs. Trained by a young man who would be thrilled just to be in this race. Has early speed and goes well here but lacks the class and knockout blow to put these to bed. Will try hard and his time will come, it’s just not tonight. Will need a lot to go right and plenty to go wrong for the others. Looking elsewhere. Box 5 – Gatlin Literally found almost 10 lengths on his PB last week on what can only be described as bemusing. Went 29.28, a time he hasn’t looked close to posting in his 7 previous attempts here. Will need to do an exact replica to win this and while his win was superb, there are still too many questions for mine at the price to take the risk. He’s a huge threat but too short. Doesn’t always step either so box isn’t great. Box 6 – Hold Me Up So either they had their eyes closed when he won his heat or the disrespect is real for this bloke. An incredibly silly price for a dog who won the way he did in his semi. Copped checks trying to lead and therefore only went 5.51 early. Yet he still dropped a 29.68 overall. Has dazzling acceleration and if he gets any room at all early, he will muster hard and shock these to their core. Gets a nice run outside Gatlin here as well. He is $34…he shouldn’t be. He goes in our numbers. Box 7 – French Martini Well the trainer knows how to win one of these, because he’s won two of them already. This girl is flying and was excellent in her semi getting over Plaintiff. Handles all draws and has a fast win here, she must be a threat on all that alone. Just not sure she gets over here with the abundance of early pace inside her and she tends to drop out when things don’t go her way through the pen. Prepared to risk but with concern she will ping out. Box 8 – Zipping Alabama Has been a sprinting revelation lately. Continues to drop the fast runs on the clock for a stayer and she is drawn exactly where she needs to be. Loves out wide and the huge thing in her favour…..she can storm home from off the arm where most of these can’t. Only has to land remotely close to be an EW bird here. In white hot form and gets her chance to win the MDC and is our on top go here. Selections: 8,6,2 Bets: At the current quotes, we are playing a couple of runners here. The 8 Zipping Alabama gets an EW bet. She will take the main bulk of the stake. Both the 6 Hold Me Up and the 2 He’s On Fire will also get small place heavy plays at the odds. Market Market
