MANDURAH

Race 4 No. 4 Payakaroon

Looks ready after last start. Has been working back towards his best racing weight after a spell and should hit the scales closer to his ideal 33kg and under tonight. Showed last week that he’s almost there with a superb performance against Got the Hammer. Peaked on his run 50 out, that won’t be the case tonight. Acceleration the key and he’s got plenty of it!! Looks the goods.

Race 6 No. 6 Incredible Hulk

Had no clue what this corner start was about last week after box rise. Began slowly then felt his way into the back until he started to go through the gears but it was far too late. Can make that run earlier here and will be a much better show tonight with that experience. Will go sub 28 comfortably with a clear run and very talented anda should run top 2.

Race 7 No. 3 City Stage and 6 Mystify

We will back up and give both dogs another chance here. Both coming out of the same race. The 3 wasn’t bad at all and he is racing quite well. Gets a good draw here and can lob close into the back. The 6 is much better than what she showed last week and will be at odds again but can absolutely surprise here. When she has momentum she will hit the line harder than anything else. Fav hard to beat but both these are solid place heavy plays.

Race 8 No. 4 Owl Jai and 6 Rebellion Bay

A dual play here and we know where we will be with these two, and that’s charging toward the arm before the first turn. Both blessed with early box speed, the 4 all but led last week and it took Rage On Zatara to just cross him. That dog would be $1.20 in this. Gets his chance to hold the arm again. The 6 however is also handy in the early speed department and will go fast out wide. One, if not both of these, should cross and be in the top 2 turning. Almost impossible to run down if either find the arm solo.

MURRAY BRIDGE

Race 7 No. 8 Bumrah

A straight track sniper who clearly saves his best for the Murray Bridge runway. 14 times over this 300m trip for 3w and 8pl means he rarely misses. Runs good time and will be a very solid top 2 play.

Race 9 No. 2 Danyos Clint

In a meeting riddled with odds on shots, this bloke looks one of the better plays at a backable price. Took an odd step at box rise last time which caused him to miss the start but his recovery was superb for 4th. Back to 300m here, his 16.6 best should really put these away and the small field will only help his charge to get on the arm and from there it will be all over with no interference.
