Greg’s Belmont Preview Posted on June 22, 2016June 23, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Tips RACE 1 ROYAL MISSILE looks beautifully placed to break her maiden tag. She drew wide on debut, settled at the rear and worked home well. This looks a much easier race and from a better draw she should much closer to the speed. GENERAL HUSSON found the line with gusto at Pinjarra. If he is within striking distance he’ll be hard to hold out. GOLGOTHA trialled well. NATURAL JUSTICE was OK late on debut and the increase in distance the blinkers going on are positives. Numbers – 10 – 2 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – Royal Missile win RACE 2 DEMERIT POINT found the line strongly first-up at Pinjarra. He should settle much closer to the speed from a better draw and go very close. MISS SINGAPORE has finished runner-up at both starts this campaign. The wide draw makes it tough but she beats most of these on ability alone. ATLANTA BLUE should get a lovely run from gate 1. HE’S OUR FREDDY was solid on debut. Numbers – 4 – 8 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – Demerit Point win RACE 3 ENTRECHAT should be ready at her fourth run back from a spell. She rises to a staying trip for the first time this campaign and Pike goes on. TOPPA DAWOZZA drops in grade and looks ready. BOWL A DOOSRA has put on a clinic at his last two when leading from go to whoa. This race does have more depth though. ALMALEO is in form and can handle the rise in trip. Numbers – 5 – 6 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – Entrechat and Toppa Dawozza RACE 4 MAIN INSTIGATOR drew wide first-up, settle at the rear and made good late ground. The smaller field should mean he can go forward and prove very hard to beat. MR MOTOWN backs up from a solid effort on Saturday. From a good draw he should tuck in just behind the speed. CLOBBERETTA is hard to catch but will appreciate having the services of William Pike. MACRAWFYS HOPE will lead and give a sight. Numbers – 4 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – Main Instigator win RACE 5 TUCKY’S LAD shook his maiden with a solid first-up win at Northam. He should improve off that run and get a lovely run from a good draw. PATRIMONIO has plenty of talent. He resumes without a trial but should be finishing powerfully. WINGS OF HOPE has ability and was asked for little in a recent trial. PUTERI JEWEL will sit on the speed and give a sight. Numbers – 4 – 1 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – Tucky’s Lad and Patrimonio RACE 6 BOURBON DYNASTY should improve sharply on her first-up run where she went into that race coming off a slight foot issue. This race looks very weak and she goes very close. WELL SPOKEN MAN will power forward from a wide gate and give a sight on the speed. ANGELIC ANGEL will park just behind the speed and go close. BELLS TOWER goes forward and will appreciate the class drop. Numbers – 4 – 6 – 12 – 1 Suggested Bet – Bourbon Dynasty win RACE 7 Former NSW trained filly HARPOON looks to have a class edge on this field if she brings her best form. She was asked for very little in a recent trial. TREE HUGGEN HIPPY broke her maiden with a huge win at Northam. RULING ANGEL was terrific at Northam. ANISAU will finish strongly again. Numbers – 11 – 13 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – Harpoon win QUADDIE RACE 4 – 1, 4, 6 RACE 5 – 1, 4 RACE 6 – 4, 6, 12 RACE 7 – 2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 Bet Now!
