Gloucester Park 22 January – Harness Preview Posted on January 21, 2016January 21, 2016 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Tips Race 1: STEELO`S BISTRO AT GLOUCESTER PARK PATHWAY SERIES MS PACE AMERICAN BOY (10) has worked hard in all three WA starts but won each event comfortably and looks likely to race his way through the classes. He rises in class tonight and has a tricky draw to overcome but is clearly the one to beat. CALAIS (11) has been performing well in stands with two recent wins before working hard when a fair 4th to Bhagwan last start and looks a major player. LAGOON STRIDE (1) and ERGO (3) have solid recent form and the barrier advantage over their main rivals. Tips: 10 11 1 3 Suggested Bet: CALAIS (11) each way. Race 2: ALLTOOLS MARES MS PACE JUNGLE JEWEL (9) has been runner up at three of her last four starts and will appreciate the drop in class tonight. She chased home Nike Franco in the Mares Classic four starts back and was 2nd to Formyeyesonly in 1.54.3 at Northam at her latest run. She is drawn wide but has the turn of foot needed to win. EASTWOOD CRYSTAL (6) has won two of her last four and looks the main danger to her stablemate. BONNY UNDER FIRE (10) and DILINGERS PRINCESS (1) are drawn to get nice peg runs and can be dangerous. Tips: 9 6 10 1 Suggested Bet: JUNGLE JEWEL (9) to win. Race 3: PREMIER SUZUKI MS PACE IM A PEREGRINE (7) was a dominant winner four starts back when he found the top and has performed credibly since, including a 3rd to Cyamach last week when he was held up. He can work forward tonight and should be hard to beat. MOHEGAN SUN (8) was due for a win and had all the favours but still rated 1.53.0 when winning last week and must be considered. OHOKA KENTUCKY (2) should be an improver from this draw, while BRONZE SEEKER (6) is always dangerous with the right run in transit. Tips: 7 8 2 6 Suggested Bet: IM A PEREGRINE (7) to win. Race 4: STIRLING ASPHALT CONDITIONED HANDICAP SS PACE IM RIDDICK (12) has been very consistent in standing start events and this is slightly weaker than recent assignments. He was very brave behind The Bucket List three starts back and wasn’t suited in a sprint home in the Northam Cup last start. SWIMBETWEENTHEFLAGS (2) has been performing well off handicaps and will be very hard to beat if he can find the front. SONIC CLASSIC (7) put up a career best run last week and must be considered on that, while C C CHEVRON (5) is working up to a win. Tips: 12 2 7 5 Suggested Bet: IM RIDDICK (12) each way. Race 5: ABBOTT & CO PRINTERS IM THEMIGHTYQUINN QUALIFYING HEAT 3 FORMYEYESONLY (10) is airborne at the moment and was scintillating when working hard before racing away for a 1.54.3 win at Northam. She is not well drawn here but is capable of finishing strongly and is racing too well to overlook. ATLASTALONE (6) raced well during the Inters series and resumed from a short break with a very solid 2nd in a stand. OFFTOCULLECT (9) has won 8 of his 12 career starts and resumed from a year’s absence with a solid win. CAPTAIN UNDER FIRE (3) will give cheek if he can find the early lead. Tips: 10 6 9 3 Suggested Bet: FORMYEYESONLY (10) each way. Race 6: BOOK INTO THE BEAU RIVAGE RESTAURANT AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (9) resumed from a long spell with a win off a back mark at Busselton. This is obviously a big class rise but he has shown that he is up to this level in the past and should give a sight. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (8) ran on well for 3rd behind SOHO MONZA (7) last start and will be suited by the solid tempo that looks likely. SOHO MONZA (7) was very impressive last week in his first run for a white hot stable and can overcome the draw. IMA TRAGEDY (1) can be a big improver from the pole. Tips: 9 8 7 1 Suggested Bet: DREDLOCK ROCKSTAR (9) each way. Race 7: TABTOUCH MS PACE LEDA MCNALLY (1) led throughout five starts back and hasn’t been disgraced in her subsequent efforts. She gets the chance to lead again here and will be hard to run down. OUR BLACKBIRD (8) finished 5th in the Interdominion final and had no luck in the two cups since. This is a significant drop in class and must be respected. CYAMACH (9) has won five of his eight starts this campaign including a comfortable win here last week but draws poorly tonight. TUAPEKA KAHU (3) could be a big improver at odds. Tips: 1 8 9 3 Suggested Bet: LEDA MCNALLY (1) to win. Race 8: STIRLING ASPHALT SUPPLY & LAY MS PACE BIG SPOOK (11) resumed from a break when he did things wrong but was still too good for Typhoon Tan. He hasn’t been seen for a month but looks too strong for this field if he does everything right. MILLWOOD FAITH (4) was a good last start winner and can make her presence felt with the right run. STUNIN EYES ONLY (1) and BAPTISM OF FIRE (10) don’t have the class of many rivals but both should enjoy nice peg runs and can be in the money. Tips: 11 4 1 10 Suggested Bet: BIG SPOOK (11) to win. Race 9: ROSS NORTH HOMES WESTBRED PATHWAY SERIES MS PACE MYNAMESKENNY (9) won his first three runs back from a spell in impressive and was then far from disgraced when a close 2nd to Bhagwan in slick time. He is likely to work forward to the breeze and be hard to beat. SHOWSTOPPER (3) has won six of her last seven in weaker company and will be hard to run down if she can find the early lead. LOADED AUSSIE (1) hasn’t won for almost three years and 50 starts but can be in the placings from his perfect draw. LUMINOSA (7) won last start and can go on with it. Tips: 9 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: MYNAMESKENNY (9) to win. Race 10: COWDEN INSURANCE 3YO FILLIES MS PACE MARY CATHERINE (1) hasn’t been too far away recently and put the writing on the wall with a strong 3rd in slick time at Narrogin after doing all the work. She is the best drawn here and should give a great sight. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (6) won four of her five starts last campaign, including a win over Dodolicious and can overcome her draw. JASMIN AMAL (3) resumed with an all the way 1.55.0 win and will make her presence felt. DAME PUISSANT (4) is yet to miss a place and should be thereabouts again tonight. Tips: 1 6 3 4 Suggested Bet: MARY CATHERINE (1) to win. Bet Now
