Doomben 30 January – Thoroughbreds Preview Posted on January 29, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Tips RACE 4 No.13 Assertory Desleigh Forster trained mare who is absolutely flying this time in having won all three starts. She cruised home two starts back at Doomben before stepping up to Saturday grade and finishing too strongly to score at the Sunshine Coast last time out. Back up to the 1200m looks to be what she’s chasing now as all three wins have been strong finishing efforts. A likely soft track tomorrow won’t harm her chances at all. RACE 6 No.4 Right Or Wrong Very promising type from the Lindsay Gough stable who couldn’t have been any more impressive winning second up at the Sunshine Coast last time out. He swooped on the leaders shortly after entering the straight before powering away to score by an ever extending margin to the line. Out to the mile is perfect for him tomorrow and he handles all track conditions. RACE 8 No.2 Too Good To Refuse Another one from the Desleigh Forster stable who put in a terrific effort first up at the Sunshine Coast over 1200m. Caught on the worst part of the track he stayed with them all the way to the line to be beaten less than a length. Up to the 1350m tomorrow is ideal and I wouldn’t be concerned about the wide gate as Robbie Fradd will likely ride him cold and come with one big run from the home turn.
