Deane Lester’s Caulfield Best Bets Posted on November 26, 2021November 26, 2021 | Posted by Deane Lester RACE 3 NO.6 LAVISH GIRL LAVISH GIRL will be fitter for her last run and looks a great value chance when she runs in the Twilight Glow Stakes (1400m). The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace trained filly was 43 days between runs when finishing 8th behind BEND THE KNEE in the Springtime Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on November 6. She just peaked on her run that day but should be improved by that outing, appears drawn for a good run and has the talent to measure up in this race at good each way odds. RACE 6 NO.6 CARDINAL GEM CARDINAL GEM has been impressive in two runs this campaign and looks ready to peak for his target race in the Sandown Guineas (1600m). The son of Choisir has been running on strongly over shorter distances, firstly when finishing 6th in the Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on October 13 before running 4th in the Springtime Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on November 6. He is ready for this distance, should land midfield from a middle draw and appears primed to produce his best run for the preparation. RACE 9 NO.7 I AM SUPERMAN I AM SUPERMAN has raced without luck in two Sydney runs this campaign and should appreciate dropping in class when he tackles the Kevin Heffernan Stakes (1400m). The six year old was far from disgraced when finishing a luckless 8th behind EDUARDO in the Classique Legend Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill on October 30. He is a winner over the track and distance in August 2020 and only needs firm ground to produce his best form. He is drawn for a sweet run, elite rider Jye McNeil takes the ride and I AM SUPERMAN represents the best bet of the day. Market Market
