The Super VOBIS Gold Eureka Stockade (1400m) looks a very competitive race with a variety of formlines, however the fresh horse on the scene might be WINNING PARTNER who appeals as a solid winning chance in this race. The Tony McEvoy trained gelding showed talent last preparation behind stakes class horses and resumed with a confidence boosting win in a Maiden over 1100 metres at Bendigo on October 31. The four year old was a Moonee Valley winner over 1200 metres last preparation before two unplaced efforts when extended to 1400 metres which proved to be beyond him. The John Sadler trained gelding impressed in a recent Caulfield jumpout recording the fastest time of the day suggesting that he is primed for a big first-up run. He handles all conditions, elite rider Mark Zahra takes the ride and USAIN BOWLER looks a good winning chance at each way odds.
