RACE 3 No.5 El Campeador

Tony Gollan trained galloper who put in an enormous performance here over this distance 3 weeks ago when never on the track facing the breeze throughout. He was entitled to drop right out in the straight yet had the cheek to hit the lead and fight on very well to the line being beaten just over a length. Blake Shinn jumps on tonight and with a softer run can make amends.

RACE 4 No.8 Say You Love Me

Another Highway Handicap, another Matt Dunn runner! He’s been making these races his own in recent times and is every chance to land another one tomorrow with this last start Eagle Farm runner up. Liked the way he found the line on that occasion which suggests he’ll be well suited stepping up to 1400m tomorrow. Expecting a big run.

RACE 6 No.8 Roeinda

Bjorn Baker trained mare who is only lightly raced having had the 9 starts for the impressive return of 2 victories and 5 placings. Liked the way she hit the line first up at Canterbury in an easier race with the 58kg on her back, tomorrow she drops down to 55kg facing a rise in grade. She’s already shown she races best when kept on the fresh side suggesting the 3 week break between runs will suit nicely. Looks good each-way value.
