RACE 2 No.2 Pat’s Nipper

Tamworth trained runner who appears well suited in this week’s Highway event. No luck at all here two starts back when should have just about won a similar grade race, back in trip at Tamworth last time out he wasn’t far away beating all bar the winner. Coming to town again with Hugh Bowman to do the steering he’ll sit back and likely strike hard late!

RACE 7 No.3 Eckstein

Very classy mare who placed at Group 3 company two starts back, had zero luck in the Group 1 Tiara before winning here last start against the odds when again having plenty against her racing three wide throughout. She’s only had a handful of runs for the Chris Waller yard and couldn’t well now string a few wins together. Sticking with her to win again.

Race 9 No.2 Sharpe Hussler

Backmarker who appears to have found a suitable race & the market suggests that’s the case as he’s been one of the bigger early firmers on the card. Fitter for the first up run at Randwick when unfancied getting out to $41 his second up record is a good one and he’ll also appreciate the firmer surface. Look for him to be steaming home late!
