Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on July 25, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 4 No.6 Bel Burgess Consistent galloper who looks close to a win and this might just be his day! Just peaked late his last couple of starts both around the 1600m range with bigger weights in restricted company. He takes the step to open grade here, however it’s not a strong race and he looks the only leader suggesting with his lighter weight he’ll prove tough to get past. Looks overs for mine. RACE 6 No.7 Red Stina Spotted this Toowoomba trained filly making up very good late ground at Eagle Farm last Saturday over 1600m. She steps to 1840m which is a plus however the outside draw is not. Her pattern is to get back in her races anyway though suggesting she won’t be out of her comfort zone and the long run in will definitely aid her cause. Strong each-way claims. RACE 7 No.1 Benfica Princess Gold Coast trained mare who on paper looks completely out of form having finished well off the winner at her past 5 starts. However, she has had excuses basically at all of those runs and returns to a track and distance she hasn’t seen since winning consecutive races early in her campaign. Don’t be surprised to see her storming home into the finish late in the race. Quaddie 1, 2, 3, 7 1, 12, 14, 16 3, 9, 13 6, 14 Market Market
