Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on August 20, 2021August 20, 2021 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 6 No.9 Latino Blend Initially I was keen on She’s All Class in this race however with her being scratched I’m going to throw this Team Snowden filly in the mix at big odds. Yes she faces some extremely tough opposition however she’s done nothing wrong to date winning on debut, finishing less than 2 lengths from Arcaded in the Magic Night before resuming with a big finishing third at Kembla recently running the quickest final 400m of the entire meeting. Something each-way. RACE 7 No.8 Private Eye Joe Pride trained galloper who holds the very impressive record of 6 wins from 9 starts. His latest outing was one of those wins when landing the Group 2 Queensland Guineas at Eagle Farm. Whilst short of actual Group 2 level the race still provided the winner of the Fred Best (Apache Chase) and the Queensland Derby (Kukeracha) plus Tumbler Ridge who ran 4th that day won at his next start! Trialled well should prove hard to beat. RACE 8 No.12 Verry Elleegant Champion mare who won this Group 1 feature first up last year before going onto win a further 4 Group 1’s during the recently completed season. She won’t be at her peak for this having the whole spring in front of her however even without being fully wound up she can still account for these. Liked her recent soft trial which was as good a fourth as you can get in a barrier trial. Quaddie 8, 7, 1, 5 12 8, 11, 3, 1 9, 6, 17, 8 Market Market
