Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on April 8, 2022April 8, 2022 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 4 No.3 Paris Dior Should we race at Randwick on Saturday the track is going to be extremely heavy following another deluge on Wednesday/Thursday. This lightly raced filly from the Team Snowden yard holds a very good record to date & has been tuned up with a couple of barrier trials winning both convincingly by a cumulative margin of 10.3 lengths! Note the latest was on a heavy (9), whilst trials aren’t races her dam is by Exceed And Excel, his stocks get through the wet very well. RACE 5 No.1 In The Congo Super colt who resumed against the older horses in the Group 1 Galaxy 3 weeks ago on heavy (9) ground clocking in a game third beaten only half a length. Back to his own age and down to Group 2 company on Saturday he looks very well placed under the set weights conditions. If not in front Tommy Berry will have him outside the lead and from there he’s the one to beat. RACE 7 No.9 Luncies 3200m on a bog track, this is going to be one heck of a slog, many runners will be lucky to finish before it gets dark! My gut feel is this bloke would run 4000m so it won’t be an issue for him, his only failure on heavy ground came about at Rosehill whereas here at Randwick he’s placed twice and on each occasions recorded strong late sectionals. I’m with him on an each-way basis. Quaddie 9, 4, 5 6, 9, 7, 2 1, 3, 14 4, 2, 5 Market Market
