RACE 2 No.4 Say Haya

Consistent mare who led here a fortnight back when knocking up late in the straight missing a placing. Although she bolted in the start prior here in similar heavy conditions she didn’t lead suggesting a quieter ride this time around may be more beneficial. She was also 5 weeks between starts which may have also worked against her when the pressure went on in the straight.

RACE 3 No.7 Roman Aureus

Absolutely flying this lightly raced galloper from the Brian Wakefield yard having won 3 of his past 5 starts placing on the other two occasions. He tracked wide on the turn at Ipswich before balancing up late and running home hard into the placings before cruising to victory when back to midweek grade last time out. Down on the minimum he looks the one to beat again!

RACE 9 No.9 Jardin Rouge

Another runner from the Wakefield yard who put in a cracking first up behind the very much in form Tullio here a fortnight back weaving home nicely from back in the field on the home turn. His closing sectionals were slightly stronger than the winner and with the added fitness, additional 150m and no concerns should the track be wet he looks great value.
