Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on April 29, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 5 No. 3 No Payout and No. 1 Apollo Fun Kicking off the Northam season with dogs that absolutely know this track. The 3 is one who sticks to the fence and handles this track and trip well. Could get a rails run here. The 1 would lead on his best and won’t be caught. Take on trust and the draw will help him immensely here. Race 7 No. 4 I’m Upstairs and No. 2 Polygon Monelli The 4 is getting closer to a win. Will look for the arm this time now he’s stepped up in trip and he can get the distance. Has also been here plenty so no issues there. The 2 is in a similar boat. Doesn’t win out of turn but is going ok and hits the line hard here and might get the luck at the first turn. EW spec on her. Race 8 No. 7 Full On Frankie and No. 8 Squeeze Li This is where we start to speculate about track experience. If either have seen this place in a trial, they will be well placed to go close here. Both can muster up quickly and then it’s a matter of getting around the first turn and not losing it. Will be hard to stop if that pans out. Race 9 No. 5 Aussie Primrose and No. 6 Bazinga Boy Back to some regular Northam customers. The 5 is racing out of grade and out of her skin at times. Those times are when she can get up there early and this is one of those times. She’s a much better dog than when she was here last and could surprise if she steps. The 6 will also show his regular Northam 500m pace and he is the one who most likely will lead. Can be hard to catch when he does. Both worth small EW specs on this. Race 10 No. 7 Ranger Rickson and No. 4 Smirch Birch Keen on the 7 here for the Queen of Avon Valley, May Leach. Her team is going well at Cannington and they all arguably race much better here. This bloke has been tackling and competing well in FFA company and will rush up out wide here. Hasn’t raced here but tipping he’s seen the place. The 4 certainly has been here and has a great record around this circuit. Only needs a better step early and he’s the one to get into the finish from anywhere. Race 11 No. 1 Sunset Givenchy and No. 2 Super Charge The 1 has panels on these at his best. This is his box and he only has to be remotely right to windburn this lot. Clearly the one to beat. The 2 could surprise and this track might suit. Trained locally now so could have seen this track in a trial so keep him safe as he is strong and he will keep coming. Race 12 No. 7 Rubys Rocket and No. 8 High Level The 7 excels here and can handle the draw. A FFA bitch who is still going super and will be looking to be the first on the scene behind the 3 who usually leads easily but stops just as quickly. The 8 will get a cart over and she does keep coming and she is another who races well here. Box no problem either. Market Market
